Exception raised
unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000024 at address 0x7001c524

After several month yatus I decided to try again thanks to the free 10 day pass
Downloaded the game twice to my ssd, and twice same thing

Launch game and either 20 to 30 seconds into it the game freezes for 20 seconds then crash with this error. BOTH times during BOTH installs meaning that this is not a corruption of one file during a copy but that the issue happened on the exact same read in two separate installs

I just left ESO and was looking forward to some nullsec...I guess the 10 days pass is now wasted4

oh and yes I managed to disable voice and it is not helping

EDIT: yosemite 16 gig ram on SSD

Going to restart on a drive copy from July and see if an install there brings something different and will report

After installing Yosemite on fri 17.10 everything worked. But today 18.10 the launcher began updating some patch and EVE no longer launches. But its possible to run if you

navigate to the Program
'Show Package Contents'
go to Contents/Resources
Run EVE Online there

though there are now random Graphics errors that halt the entire MAC

Really? I don't see the repair tool option there on my Mac launcher. Are you sure?

I had Yosemite since its official release and played Eve without troubles. Now, two days after the Phoebe release, the same problem plagues me.

I didn't find the repair tool option either.

Has anyone tried repairing disk permissions? This seems to be an OSX panacea. I am currently downloading the Eve client for a fresh install and don't want to do that simultaneously, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow, when I will repair permissions while at work.

Will report back...

[Update 1]: Repaired disk permissions, though no Eve related files were repaired; Installed newly downloaded Eve; That doesn't run - the verification (OSX Gatekeeper) runs for a very long time, only to tell me that the Eve app is from an unknown developer and won't be started. Turning Gatekeeper off either in settings or via the Terminal (sudo) doesn't help. I'll try to dig out my first Eve installation file from >1 year ago. Any other suggestions?

[Update 2]: Installed Eve from the file I had downloaded in early 2013. The launcher started fine, downloaded the update to Phoebe and now I'm back to New Eden. Big smile

[Update 3]: The error came back after about a week. Interestingly only once there was an error message referring to a graphics error (which I clicked away too soon to write down). Now I set all graphics settings to their minimum. With that, Eve seems stable, but not if I set them any higher.
