The most Succesfull Alliance in EVE

Hey!

So heres a question for the forums? What Alliance do you think have done the best job over all? This means, most kills, Efficiency, sov taken, lasted the longest etc?

I havent been playing eve for long, (1 year), so i dont know alot of EVE PVP History, so please, explain to me! :)

Hard to say you have to define the condition of sucess better.

But both PL and Goons are up there. You might like them you might hate them but the credit is deserved.

Also I think you should add some of the Russian alliances

no i mean PL....

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

That's because there isn't any profit in holding space. Although PL does control a disgusting number of tech moons, and thus a very substantial income (I have no idea how much, but it's a lot).

Cry Havoc. No longer around, but they scared the **** out of capital fleets everywhere. Some of my best fights were whilst flying for them. I miss them. :(

Best alliance that made history is BOB

can't judge others as they are still in game.

my Sympathy goes to RED Alliance - because they have many carriers.

GOONSWARM is by far most profane, obnoxious and failproof

NC is my beloved mega alliance - because they have the most Guristas NPCs of all of them. Yeah they kinda live off crappy jamming rats.

This post sums up why the 'best' work with DCM inc.

WARP DRIVE makes eve boring

really - add warping align time 300% on gun aggression and eve becomes great again

I think RED Alliance has the longest history to date, at least as long as big territorial alliances are considered.

Some of these factors aren't necessarily complementary.

Some alliances have been around since the mechanic was introduced in 2004 (e.g. CVA). Some have held sovereignty over a large area for many years (e.g. Red Alliance) and built many outposts, but a lower number of killmails might be a better indicator of success for them than a high number (i.e. keeping the peace). Other alliances are out for the kills (e.g. PL) so that's a better measure for them than building infrastructure. A few alliances tried setting specific task-related measures of success (e.g. MC) and then there are those for whom success is trolling the forums (e.g. Goons). Some have done a bit of everything.

I think you ought to rephrase your question and be specific about what you think is the best measure.

PL is one of the best alliances out there :) no doubt in terms of effectiveness, income, good active members, bf3 players and servers and so on <3 I would give myself to jeff any day

Honestly? I'd say the DRF. PL is the current I-Win stick, but as mercenaries, they don't really count. Of all the major sov-holders out there, the DRF have been the most stable for the longest period of time.

Band of Brothers hands down. Pandemic Legion really only exists because one of their members long ago back when it was only Sniggerdly got banned for hacking BoB forms, so they left Curse/pirating, went down to near BoB space, started flying with NESW and eventually Goons vs BoB.

BoB was the most polarizing alliance in the game, everyone had an opinion of 'em back in the day.
