Feature : Allow extensive sniping configuration for all ships and weapons

Negative :
- Massively mass addition 900%
- Massively decrease agility by 90%
- Warp speed reduced by 90%
- Decrease all shield and armor resistance by 90%
- Decrease all shield and armor by 90%

- Can not engage cloak while aggression timer is going.

Positive :
- Massively increase all gun range and missile speed. 900%
- Massively increase all gun and missile damage 900%
- Massively increase lock range 900%
- Allow locking while cloaked
- Allow warping while cloaked







Note with this module you basically have .......







ONE SHOT...



Those thinking about a super battleship /dread fitting this mod - a t1 frig can take you down if you screw up.

Absolutely not...my personal sniping BS has a 180k range (and i know that is nowhere near maxed). You want to give that a 900% boost, AND let it lock and warp while cloaked?

This is like that horribad cloakmarines post 2 days ago
1. Nothing should be able to target while cloaked
2. Theres a Hard lock at 250Kms so no point trying to go higher, especially since most grids wont stretch to that Plus 900%
3. A damage buff of 900%? So my rail Kronos that already does 700 could do over 6K DPS to a cruiser? And at ridiculous ranges too? No thank you to OP
4. If you want to warp cloaked, get a Covops
5. You dont need missiles going 20,000m/s, ever
6. If you do need quick missiles, buy Mordu!
7. Just generally a horribly unbalanced idea, Absolutely not, and i think you'll find im not the only one who thinks so either

The biomassing is overkill... But not by much for an idea this goddamn rediculous... Also any ship firing any decent ranged ammo will EASILY reach out to the 250k grid wall/lock range...

I think OP's bonuses are a way too much, but the general idea of a "sniper" module is ok.

Perhaps a passive low slot damage upgrade (BCS, heatsink, etc.) but with a higher damage boost in exchange for penalties to mobility and fire rate. The idea being to give a lower DPS boost than an normal damage boost mod, but higher damage per volley. And also no lock while cloaked, that's just silly.

Because ships like the eagle with essentially 100% bonus to hybrid optimal really aren't enough of a sniper boat to begin with. I already get almost 50KM optimal with antimatter rounds in it and with Spike ammo it can shoot further then I can get it to target without sacrificing speed or tank.

If you want range you have to sacrifice something to get it. Your idea gives you everything you need and while you tried to give it a downside by reducing shield and armor resist, you wont have to worry when the other guy cant even get to you unless he has the same module, in which case its a matter of who hits f1 first.

Really they just need to let go of some of the hate on T2 range ammo.

Aurora/ Spike/ Tremor is worthless, especially the medium and small. the 75% tracking penalty at the medium and small ranges make it 0 hit ammo.

Yeah they need to look into fixing those ammos, Spike isn't so bad depending on what hull your in but tremor is more garbage than what makes up the ships that fit it.
