Hi,

I've an idea for a future addon: how about an expansion of the automatic targeting system? At the moment you can only activate it and set the number of targets you want set, but you have no control about the targets you will targets. I think that's the reason why most people I know dont use this function in PVE.

In the first step it would be really useful if you could set an option of the "way" of targeting, perhaps like targeting size:

- big to small
1. big targets
2. medium targets
3. small targets

- small to big
1. small targets
2. medium targets
3. big targets

In a second step I could suggest the possibility of an item (with skill) what allow you autotargeting special PVE ships (for example warp scrambler, ...). The mechanic would be also a good idea for hunting down some gankers... Lol

What do you think about the idea?

There's actually people who play with auto-targetting on..?? I thought most people took it off after a month of playing...

With the most polished up systems you would still want something else to be targeted from time to time, and you would curse the system as stupid (because it doesnt do what you want) and unnecessary complicated (as it would make you thinking about setting the rules and actual setting the rules for one target would take more time than actual targeting). I would rather give you the whole targeting work to do, just be responsible for your own derps.

Custom ship skins, character creator style "repaint". Bring it!

Best targeting system in the game is a well trained mind and hands.

Auto targeting does have a place in this game I am sure, but I have never discovered a place where it would be better.

Auto targetting is like autopilot
All it does is lead to ALOD's
