Hey everyone. Today I stumbled upon a Hulk with 2 jetcans full of ore. Decided to do the old-fashioned canflip to see if the guy takes the bait. He warped out, and to my big surprise, came back in an Orca. I thought I was going to get a very juicy kill, but instead he simply tractored in the cans and took the ore back without getting the suspect tag.

Is there something about the Orca that lets the pilot take the contents of any jetcan without incurring suspect rating? I searched around, but couldn't find any related information. Don't think it was a glitch, simply because I have never seen anyone try to take their ore back in an Orca. Has anyone encountered this before?

When you can flip you get a suspect timer. When you are suspect anyone is allowed to shoot you, loot your wrecks, and take from your cans for the duration of the timer.

Not 100% sure, but I think you can work your way around this by scooping your suspect goods into your can, and have a non suspect friends scoop it to his personal one. Or just stick around till you see them comeback into something that might attack you and use the limited engagement.

Otherwise, super fun thing to do if they are using cans (Not jet cans but memory is failing me on what kind). Have a freighter jump in, scoop all cans, then just moonwalk out. Last I tried freighter didn't get a suspect timer. Keep space clean, pick up litter.

This may actually work. Going to test it! :]

The freighter idea is brilliant as well! Can't believe I've never thought of it.

If you have suspect status your can is fair game for all and sundry, as are you.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Old school can flipping is, for all intents and purposes, dead.

Will I get banned for boxing!?!?!

Thanks everyone for the replies! I totally didn't realize that suspect status extends to jetcans as well. Good to know!

I can confirm no suspect status when you scoop up unanchored containers though! It doesn't seem to work for secure containers that are popular (there's no option to scoop it up), but works like a charm for others.

Shoot the cans as he tractors them in.

Miners love this, it makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
