What a small scale paradise could look like

Imagine... Pirate

There would be some small systems without planets, but with a boatload of statics lasting 10minues each once activated and would allow for ~75mil. T to travel through, with some 300mil max size (BS/Orcas close it directly).

Wormholes would take a max of a handful of frigs, 5-6 cruisers and a BS. Sending out a gang in that fashion would place it next to near anywhere on new Eden, since you can roll those connections reliably with a 100mn cruiser.
They could obviously have up to 9 statics without becoming ridiculous.

So, wouldn't that be great? Imagine a second gang crashing on a first, and you couldn't blob if you wanted to ;)

It's a wild idea, but at least it would begin to make a sensible reason for the existence of frig holes, other than for gas mining/returning after podding.

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.

I'm basically Dutch.

But yes, it blows that in eve the golden rule is to outnumber or go home. If you could only outnumber if you accept to be outgunned, that would prolly pose to big of an issue for average smart pants wormholian guy who can't fight cause no logi.

Edit: removed the anecdote regarding dimitri wizard's incompetence.

So what are you calling an E545 then? A bug? Unintended *queue for battle*-button?

Ed: Not my fault they destroyed your old alliance's *pvp-buttons*, but you got to admit the API thing was really lame. I mean, first we just sat over wormhol.es to get the info and eventually it even got implemented into siggy... So looking for pvp turned into clicking of various boxes in a 3rd party app, really lame.

10 mins sounds a little on the short side. If they lasted an hour I think this idea would be perfect and would def live there!

I think the idea is a lot healthier if those systems had no moons/planets to start with, and if some sort of environmental damage would keep you from logging off (and a band-aid for dt) or staying there for very long. It's more meant as a chokepoint that forces entities to make a decision just how many and which cruisers they realy need in addition to the bulk of frigs they'd be able to send through. So, choices.

Maybe even better: It's meant to force people to get out in a fleet with a certain tonnage (i.E. 175m or less of combat ships), so if you want to bring 5 guards, you can't bring a cruiserfleet aswell, if you bring 5 ishtars, you don't have room left for the scimi and would need to use bursts instead etc. Choices that are currently meaningless cause you can always bring the best/biggest without repercussions, basically turning this into a pure numbers game with the way you spawn on wormhoes.

Will you have to scan these wh's? With 10 min wh you roll into one of these and by the time you scanned it the wh is half dead. Are you just expecting people to yolo a fleet through with a scanner and get out through a different hole?
