CCP should throw a pageant contest to show off how far they've come in their character creation system. It would help the RP element of the game that almost doesn't exist especially since walking in stations got dropped. Characters could be judged on clothing, cost of items being worn and originality of look. You could be a brutal looking Amarr or make your character look like an empress as long as you do it right and make it look good you could have a chance at winning.

What do you guys think? Build a character or resculpt one put him in some fancy clothes and get rated by CCP or the playerbase.

I believe that I would win this.

PSA: OP supports WiS, based on her short posting history.

They should release a off-line character creator that allows us to save and pose characters, make rendered screenshots and import/export to the in game character editor. Then we can have proper contests, independent on the characters we already created.

With proper posing in backgrounds, it could even birth a web-comic or two.

Kind of defeats the purpose of making your character look sexy when just anyone can come around and make a character out of nothing and win.

Still great idea.

Well, you can parade your sexy ass all over EVE while the other one only has screenshots.

I don't quite see how I can not already "parade" ...
... especially considering that I did so extensively already.

I think people would just end up voting for their friends/favourite players/forum posters instead of the avatar they honestly thought looked the best.

Also I don't see why cost of items should be a factor.

But yeah, it could be fun.

I love that sparkly dress of yours ...
... but your former portrait was waaayyyy better.

Your face and expression was just unbeatable.

And yes, the idea is funny ... but it's completely useless.

Hehe thanks! I prefer the old one too, but I felt like a change of clothes and the old pose didn't work with the new dress.

Hmm...

What even is this thread?

Also CCP, WHERE IS MAH PONYTAIL?!

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

I would be happy if they just updated the portrait feature. New lighting options, new poses, new backgrounds, UI improvements, etc. It would be great if they improved how the server renders portraits, too. Right now server rendered portraits do not use physically simulated models, and the lighting can capture in odd ways at times. The former is probably more difficult to pull off than the latter, so I would opt for improved lighting on server renders.

You do not realise how horribly bad you look, do you? ...

The dress does not fit your skinnyness at all ...
... the colors do not match ...
... you have no proper facial expression in your face.

I would LOVE to see you in such a contest ......... crying and running away. ^_^
