Thanks for the awsome guide mate, Bumpage to page 1 for attention.

Will this ever get a sticky like it deserves? I think not. To page 1 now.

Thank you

Ahh wonderful. 4 years here and i still let my nub hang out. How simpler it would have been to know that instead of digging trhough pages every time my corp mate wanted the guide.

Just started using this in unknown space and it is working pretty much bang on. Suspecting a K162 had opened, I was able to scan it down significantly faster as I could eliminate unnecessary sigs. I have found no discrepancies yet. This is excellent work, thank you for sharing it.

Since I started using the deep space probe guide scanning has become far more quick and efficient. My sincere thanks.

I should probably mention somewhere that one needs* to scan using the DSP from right next to your ship instead of moving it Big smile (Well not has to but I digress)

I have been moving the DSP to the center of the system (right around the sun). The readings have either matched exactly or been .01 off (not really worth worrying about). This is due to the fact that I am far off the center of the system in a safe spot.

Just a heads up guys:
The Angel and Guristas 3/10 are currently (still) the same strength as the 4/10.

This means that if you're in Angel/Gurista space and you're looking for signatures with that strength, you'll get 3/10s and 4/10s without having to scan down every wormhole in New Eden* or endure the soul-crushing disappointment of finding Rogue Drone 3/10s.

* Without having to scan down all the K162s and C1s

With a scan strength of 21.0, Serpentis Logistical Outpost appears as an hit of 0.16 in Gallente Low Sec. Pretty sure it's the only 0.16 since there are no LADAR low sec Gallente regions.

I've specifically trained ( 2 moredays ) Astro V so i can use this guide and speed up my scanning.

Hoping it saves me spending 5 mins scanning down 5 worthless sigs in a system!

Oh belive me, it will, especially if you are scanning for plexes in highsec.

Quick trick: jump into system, align next gate, drop dsp, set to 256AU, press scan and commence warp. Scan only takes a few seconds. If there's a sig you like, press "stop ship" mid-warp and you won't jump the out gate. You can then sit on the out gate and recover your dsp and launch scanner probes.

If there are no good sigs, just recover the dsp. It will be back in your cargo bay before you complete warp, and you will have scanned & jumped straight through a whole system without stopping at all.

To do this effectively, take half a dozen dps's with you so the launcher doesn't have to reload too often.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
