As for your baseless claim that I'm afraid of highsec can flippers, I'm not quite sure how that could possibly be. When you consider I live in nullsec and the only actions I take in highsec are a Jita trade alt and a DST pilot for when I find a nice wormhole to highsec, I fail to see how any form of logic would conclude I'm afraid of you.

So you don't even play in high sec which pretty much means you know anything about can flipping. So why were you saying "nothing has changed"?

Stop posting here nullbear.

Ha, please. I've been everywhere and done damn near everything there is to do in EvE. I've likely forgotten more about this game then you have learned, and more than once I've changed "career tracks" because I felt the one I was on got nerfed too hard.

I adapted.

I damn well didn't come onto forums and start shiptoasting and *****ing about how bad a particular nerf was trying to get it changed back, especially not almost 2 years after the change.

Deal with it, or Get The **** Out. You had a chance to say something two years ago. This is too little, too late, and only makes you look like a whiny little carebear.

What's the difference between a nullbear and a carebear? A nullbear looks at the situation and thinks, "How can I turn this to my advantage?" A carebear posts a whiny thread on forums in an effort to get CCP to make changes. Wanna guess which you are?

How about you be on topic or get out?

And what's this....Bears and thinking? haha. Nullbear or carebear they all the same bearsef.

Thus the whiny thread to CCP to get changes made. Keep posting, carebear.

If you live in high sec Gallente and want endless pvp just go to Orvolle and take the PF gate or go to Stacmon and fly to Ostingele.
Don't get me wrong, i don't care how you play, but if you are complaining about lack of pvp i'm giving some options if you don't want to travel 20 jumps to find a fight.

Thanks for suggestions, I will try that out.

With regards to this thread, I am not complaining about lack of PVP. I am just asking for can flipping to be as it was few years ago. The fun it used to be...I seriously miss itCry

Ah the tears of people too lazy to pvp with any major risk. Keep going tell me how the neutral repping nerf made you sad.

Not a bad idea but it is still not the same, shot the miners now and you have a 100% chance to get a visit from Concord back then it provided a level of interaction between flippers and miners that you simply cannot get now. Back then the miner had the choice in the situation, they could ignore the flipper or they could choose any one of several ways to engage the flipper in an effort to get their stuff back. For the can flippers I knew the real interest to them was the preparation for and trying to deal with how the whole situation went down. Today the scenario is easy choose target, shoot target and if you have done the simple math right the miner dies before you do. If not you get to sit in your pod and watch as your target flies off with tail between legs.

For all of the hassles and problems it caused I still prefer the old way.

I mine, I can flip if people are dumb enough to jetcan mine near me. Why bother mining when I can steal it from another miner.
Can flipping will not get changed back, it was a terrible mechanic then and would still be now.

You can still flip them, it's just unlikely they will ever try to steal it back. The harsher penalties have only created a disincentive to player interaction for both potential parties.

Pretty much the story of highsec.

Nah, they should leave it as is. What greater fun is there if you flip the can on a soft target and half the system tries to lock and kill you? Blink

The only time I miss it is how easy it was to snake a freighter wreck. Pirate

Do it in a battle Proc instead these days. Just harder to find cans to flip, but some people use them with covetor fleets.

This is incorrect. Once you steal the ore and become suspect flagged anyone in the game can take anything from a container owned by you without becoming flagged themselves. The "flipping" part literally doesn't exist anymore.

Yet another example of CCP Greyscales great ideas for "fairer" aggression mechanics.

You steal it, jettison it and then shoot it.

Oh boy that make 'em mad. See you're not even stealing it, you're just wantonly destroying it - just because.

Also yeah, jetcan mining died with the barge rebalance

And thirdly - OP seriously needs to toughen up some.

Stealing the can is possible. But the fun part was in making miner do something brave or stupid to get it back. Unfortunately that doesn't happen anymore.

I don't care about everyone being able to shoot me, people shoot you less now than they did before because for some reason people think shooting a guy everyone can shoot is more dangerous than the one only you can shoot.

Maybe a confidence bluff effect scares them away?!

Why should I stop with can flipping when it used to be one of the best things to do in EvE?
