Doomsday fatigue

Since we all hate titans, and generally anyone who has any kind of advantage over us by working harder.... implement doomsday fatigue and make it's mechanic similar to jump fatigue.

Let's nerf capitals into the ground, starting at titans.

They already have a finite amount of times they can doomsday limited by how much fuel the can carry + cool down timers + can only DD other caps + cannot change damage types + is stuck in system for 10 mins each time it uses one + cannot cloak while on cool down + is immobile for 30 seconds on grid after firing + cannot use MJD to get out of bubbles + cannot use its guns vs small targets in an efficient way to be able to protect its self + cannot dock + is hard to move + bumps everywhere off everything when it does + if you fire a dd, you can't log off for 25 minutes

Sure, but the cooldown timer is only 10 minutes. I want it to be longer than that. Possibly even a month if you use your DD too much.
This is only the start. The next obvious and needed step is to limit DD usage only against other titans. Eventually we will need to remove the DD completely from the game.
A titan is a support ship, it's not supposed to 1-shot anything on sight.

I think CCP should instead implement Shiptoasting Fatigue.

If they need that many restrictions it just shows what a bad idea it was introducing them in the first place. CCP should just grasp the nettle and remove them from the game altogether and compensate the owners it would be quicker and cleaner than the slow death by inches they are suffering now.

I think your totally overestimating the amount of doomsdays used in eve online by Titan pilots.
775 Doomsdays used in B-R which was 24% of all DD’s used in the past 2 years, which includes the 200 used the week before in HED-GP. That’s 3229 DD’s over a 2 year period (including 2 pretty much one off fights) that’s on average 4.4 DD’s a day over all of eve, with around the 1800-2000 titans in game there’s no one really using the DD mods to warrant nerfing them.

Exactly, titans are support ships, used for bridging other vessels and ****. They should not even be able to use doomsdays. And since not many are fired anyway, no one is going to cry for the loss.

Logistics are also support ships, but that does not mean you cannot kill things in them or do things out side of their main roles.

But the slow death by inches they are suffering now is more amusing and easily snuck through. Especially if it's an inch every six weeks, thanks to the new development cycle.


Probably it would be easiest to make it so Titans can't take gates. Later on, they get a larger multiplier to fatigue.

And here I thought that this would be a good thread to suggest gate fatigue, so that if you take too many gates, you will be stuck in whatever system you are in for up to a month. From there I was going to spin the thread into docking fatigue in case you like to play docking games with someone. Thanks for ruining my fun Evil

Docking fatigue would make sense. The one getting fed up is the station manager.

You know where it says "docking permission requested" "docking request accepted"?

"Docking permission requested" .... .... .... (and you explode while the NPC is laughing from inside the station)

Eve needs playing fatigue.

For every 5 minutes you play you get 50 minutes of fatigue if you don't wait it out and log off after 5 minutes you get socket crash and if you log back and play fatigue goes to 500 minutes in next 5 minutes, do this 5 times and CCP permabans you.

I think we should do more of this fatigue stuff.

Wait to play is great mechanics since it only leaves the very patient players in eve and the rest can all quit since we don't need them anyway.
