So this just popped up in my head again:

I've heard tales of ships with multiple prop mods back in the day- sub-warp frigates and battleships that flew with their missiles- and I think it's a little sad that we can't see anything like that anymore.

So here's the idea: why not let us fit multiple prop mods again? In doing so, you could achieve insane speeds, but you would suffer titanic penalties (at least in the case of the MWD). You could get the speed bonus a consecutive time, but at the same time you'd get the same penalties (sig radius, mass, capacitor) applied to your ship as if the stats after the preceding mod's penalties WERE the ship's stats.

For instance, you'd be able to get a Rokh that goes ~4k m/s with two MWDs, but at the same time you'd have the sig radius of ~ (500x6)x6, which is bigger than a TITAN, and you would basically be stuck going in a straight line.

Also, stacking penalties could apply, so having more than three (apart from making your ship completely useless for anything but going in a straight line) would be useless.

This was a 'showerthought' idea- rip it to shreds- go on, here you go P

Next time try to stay in the shower a bit longer.

This really wouldn't be a good idea because alot of people would just stack 3+ Afterburners on nightmares or any other Sansha ship, and get stupid speeds, without the sig penalty, that you realistically wouldn't be able to lock down. It also would break alot of the balancing thats been happening in general.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

No. The "Nano-Age" was a terrible time. Basically you either used either kiting or "drive-by" tactics. All others were obsolete or ineffective.

The sig radius wouldn't matter. You would be flying in and out of people's ranges in the space of seconds which would, as pointed out earlier, force them to either use the same tactics or sit there impotently.
