Mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, 14th of October, at 17:00 UTC

Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, October 14th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time).

What exactly is being tested?
  • Jumping lots of Capitals through stargates
  • Testing collisions with lots of capitals
  • General stability and performance of client and server for Phoebe


How to connect to Singularity for this test:

Test steps:
Probably similar to:

  • Meet in FD-MLJ at the sun
  • Align to X-BV98 gate
  • Warp Titans to 0 on gate, do not jump
  • Jump to X-BV98
  • Align to Poitot
  • Jump to Poitot
  • Cyno to POS at planet 6
  • Shoot the control tower
  • Align to Poitot gate
  • Fleet W: Jump to Poitot and setup gate camp
  • Fleet X: Jump to Poitot + fight at the gate


What else should I know?
  • We will be moving players to the test system - join the channel massmoveme
  • 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
  • We want to see many capital ships (titans are in redeeming system), but feel free to bring smaller ships. Cynos will be provided.
  • Check this forum thread on how to receive titans and titan skills.

Just out of curiosity: why always on Tuesdays?
Would love to take part in the mass tests, but Tuesday is the one day I can't play. Sad

So just to make sure people bring the right stuff for capitals, gate jumps 3 times, jump drives 2 times? Need to make room for the 'topes between all the DDs is all =)

I like to participate in as many tests as I can and help out. But I would of missed it if not for login error :(

I've been logging in fine since the mirror until this morning.

Now I'm getting this message:

"There was an error while validating your account, please try again.."

Any ideas?

Tuesdays and Thursdays are "dinner" days at the office. Means we get more/easier dev participation for the test Smile

Having never flown a Titan before, can somebody give me an idea of how much jump fuel and DD fuel I should have loaded?

1st time in a titan - enjoyable experience but test felt buggy
gate jump - zoom in 4 FPS/zoom out 17 FPS .. CCP exe file procees jumped up to 77% CPU usage
POS bash - zoom in 4 FPS/zoom out 17 FPS .. CCP exe file process using 84% CPU
Gate camp - zoom in 6 FPS/zoom out 17 FPS .. CCP exe file varied between 46-75% CPU usage
graphics : Post Processing - High .. all others low/disabled
