I was here back when there wasn't even such a thing as a skill queue. If you wanted a skill when the first one finished, you damn well came back to your PC and set the next one! Or you did without! Setting skill training was a skill in itself, and it took planning and dedication. If you weren't up to it, that was your problem. That's what separated the men from the boys. That's how we paid our dues back then.

But now, it's "I'll just set an infinite queue and go back to thumbing my little smart phone, little spoiled candy ass that I am." Well, I for one will be watching this next generation of players who grow up in this mommy-coddling environment. You want to be in my club, you prove that you're tough enough to be in it! It's all going to hell in a hand basket, I tell you.

Heck, when I started playing you had to build a microprocessor out of sand before you could start doing anything! Kids these days with their stupid little ironic 1950's hats and girl jeans.

When I started playing there were no network protocols. I duct taped a copper wire into a rock and morse coded 1s and 0s with a stick to log in.

So there.

Yeah? That's pretty good. But when I started playing, Britney was hot and their weren't even any Walmart photos of her yet. And Jessica hadn't even put on a Daisy Duke's. And as for losing 150 lbs--she hadn't even gained 10 of them yet. What do you say to that?

Yeah, well I was there when Al Gore invented the internet. We tried to Pete Townshend a Model M, but the damn thing ended up just PRINTing LINE 60 instead.

Well, when I was tap-tap-tapping out my username and password Rhett Butler gave a damn, Jack Torrence was just a regular guy who liked to write, and Green Day had no idea what the f*** the rock and roll hall of fame was.

I'm so old school Intarwebz, I didn't care about those kids on my lawn.

I honestly feel like I just read fifty shades of dumb. --CCP Falcon

This is a good change for a few reasons.

Typically i'll forget i had some random skill training, and a few tims have played for like a week before i remembered, this will fix that. Also people who travel or go on a vacation can plan a long set of skills.

And people who just sub for the skills cause.. well no one really ever quits eve online... its a ******* drug.

And the people who are waiting for new space or something, though not understanding that unless old space and other things are fixed, new space will be conquered by the power blocks and turn into what we already have. Thus making adding new space pointless, but meh.

I may be cynical, but to me, this is CCP pulling one out of the basket of tricks that they have had available, but need to toss in to try and counter the bad player press for the Jump Fatigue changes. Sure, this is nice, but what's the point in training skills over an unlimited amount of time if the game is unplayable for what I want to do?

You do not understand, I am not crying, I am rejoicing. They are finally installing something that should have been here for years. All they have to do is not fix what is not broken.

CCP is doing the last resort features to save the game.. EVE Online have been stagnated for quite some years.

im not sure how i feel about this... but i guess its a done deal by now. what we need now is a slider of sorts to change the scale of time, or have it change automatically. to me that looks like a nightmare to modify.

wait.. wait.. wait.

So you are telling me that the abbilty of one alliance to move from one side of the galaxy to another in about 10 seconds, is not broken?

so the 100+ threads in F&I filled with hundreds of post about people saying this mechanic is broken means.. its not broken?

Stop looking at the trees when you need to look at the forest.

Read between the lines of what is coming and you will clearly see this was a GOOD thing. And when all is said and done, anyone who was crying over the jump fatigue will be kicking themselves going "OH **** THATS WHY THEY DID IT! THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!"

You forgot the (broken) part about a handful of players being able to do logistics for an entire alliance of thousands of players. Too bad CCP backpedaled on that one with JFs, but that nerf is coming too, the tears will be glorious.

yes, that nerf was put on hold because industry is not where they want it, which means.. read between the lines. Local resources i am 90% sure are coming. What i HOPE is coming is the end of moon mining, now THAT will be glorious!

Back on topic though all

2015 - year of Titans and motherships.

Everyone will have one. Everyone will be able to pilot one.

Don't think anyone mentioned they would quit over this , they -including me- stated they wouldn't need to log in any more , well allmost.I don't see anyone stating that it is a bad thing in general either ... just people talking about their personal effect this would have.Stop being so over dramatic dave Blink.

If your metric for broken is "number of posts/threads" then that means highesc is ridiculously broken and in needs to be fixed, starting with the removal of concord.
