So I'm a Noob and I have all these free Wreathe ships from doing the missions. I don't know what to really do with them. I'm wanting to be a miner/cargo type player, but right now I can't afford really good ships...so for now my Wreathe will have to do?Roll

Any suggestions out there to load out my Wreathe as a miner or a cargo vessel?Big smile

Each race has two versions of tech one haulers, one made for cargo space and one made for survivability. The Wreathe is the Minmatar version of the survivability hauler. It's good for moving around small low value loads fairly quickly. Things like low level mission loot and such.

Don't mine with it. Use the Ventures for mining until you get up to using a mining barge.

For the record, a lot of people will hate on the Minnie Indies, but I love em.

Each hauler is a little bit different. The wreathe's strengths are that it aligns quickly while also being able to sport a nice shield tank.

As a noob, you can use it to run low level distribution missions and move cargo from one place to another.

Distribution Missions: Use your agent finder to locate distribution agents and run the missions. While these are boring, they are a quick way to boost your standings for a corporation.

Trading: Go to one trading hub and buy things for a low price and move them to another trading hub that you can sell the items for a higher price.

Put a mining laser on it and go mine in .9 afk.

Use venture when not afk.

Once you have the skills, the Wreathe is perfect as a cheap Prowler, as it can fit a cloak + mwd without compromising its cargo space.

Wreathe is the best low skill transport ship for transporting goods in low security space. Its fast align times and ability to do MWD/cloack trick makes it a reasonable cheap alternative to blockade runner . With good skills you can run something like this:

[Wreathe, Wreathe: Hauler]
Expanded Cargohold II
Expanded Cargohold II
Damage Control II
Local Hull Conversion Nanofiber Structure I
Local Hull Conversion Nanofiber Structure I

Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
EM Ward Field II
Thermic Dissipation Field II
Medium Capacitor Battery II
Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I

Improved Cloaking Device II
[empty high slot]

Medium Cargohold Optimization I
Medium Low Friction Nozzle Joints I
Medium Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer I

With low skills you will have to meta some modules. But it will still be better, then any other T1 indy in quick transporting. IIRC level 4 distribution missions require to move about 8-9 k m3 of goods. You can do it with wreathe as well and it will be quicker on autopilot then most other indy.

TLDR version: for transporting small amount of goods in low sec wreathe is the best T1 hull and viator is the best T2 hull. For transporting in high sec you will need gallente ships.

A) dont do l4 distribution in general, the routes are too long even if you are aiming at faction standing, l3s in a good system you can pick up 5 at a time, bringing you a storyline mission for moneys and standing every ~1.5 hours (~16k cargo is enough for 90% of the combination of the 5 missions you get)

B) wreathe is indeed the best t1 basic industrial hull (agility, agility, agility, lowslots (for agility), base cargo)

C) in highsec getting t2 industrial of any race these days for 50k base cargo kinda outperforms a 10k ehp iteron, kryos or miasmos

D) autopilot... what do you expect to hear? :)

+1 it is a fairly good low sec hauler, not only just a low SP option since it got good agility and different to blockade runners it can move up to BC sized hulls, can resist a single Tornado volley in a trade hub or smart bomb BS in low sec(field tested) it is actually just about perfect for the job. Before the hauler changes when the prowler was not able to move a repackaged Cruiser, the Wreathe was actually the much better option for for most hauling tasks in Low Sec, so the strength is not so much just for small cargo but a very flexible hauler that can move ships + fitting up to BC size from a market up down to somewhere in low sec relatively quick and safe.

Nowadays the DSTs outperform it for low sec, when you want a combination of tornado/SB BS prove tank, mwd+claok, warp speed and good cargo, but the Wreathe is still not a bad option and will probably never draw attention in Low Sec since most people don't expect it to carry expensive cargo. One advantage over the DSTs might still be that you have enough CPU to leave the probe launcher on-line and enough agility to have a chance to make it back to the gate when you run into a insta lock set-up behind a gate or spawn in a bad spot, to close to other ships on grid.
