Unlimited skill queue... holy....

CCP needs subs.

A sub is a sub, so dammit, we're going to have to cater to those who want to pay for a sub and not play no matter how much we might fear their not playing affects the price of dairy products in EVE.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

From a purely business perspective, an MMO's ideal customer pays for a subscription every month, and never logs on.

I was here back when there wasn't even such a thing as a skill queue. If you wanted a skill when the first one finished, you damn well came back to your PC and set the next one! Or you did without! Setting skill training was a skill in itself, and it took planning and dedication. If you weren't up to it, that was your problem. That's what separated the men from the boys. That's how we paid our dues back then.

But now, it's "I'll just set an infinite queue and go back to thumbing my little smart phone, little spoiled candy ass that I am." Well, I for one will be watching this next generation of players who grow up in this mommy-coddling environment. You want to be in my club, you prove that you're tough enough to be in it! It's all going to hell in a hand basket, I tell you.

Heck, when I started playing you had to build a microprocessor out of sand before you could start doing anything! Kids these days with their stupid little ironic 1950's hats and girl jeans.

When I started playing there were no network protocols. I duct taped a copper wire into a rock and morse coded 1s and 0s with a stick to log in.

So there.

Yeah? That's pretty good. But when I started playing, Britney was hot and their weren't even any Walmart photos of her yet. And Jessica hadn't even put on a Daisy Duke's. And as for losing 150 lbs--she hadn't even gained 10 of them yet. What do you say to that?

Yeah, well I was there when Al Gore invented the internet. We tried to Pete Townshend a Model M, but the damn thing ended up just PRINTing LINE 60 instead.

Star Jump Drive A new way to traverse the galaxy.

I invented Tiericide

You forgot 'and doesn't complain' wich is the most important aspect to get an ideal customer and this change is gonna have the opposite effect as a lot of non-playing plex-subbing vets will still be hoovering over the forums .

Glad you don't run EVE....

... because from a pure business perspective ...
... the ideal EVE player is one who creates most content that costs least processing power ...
... and generates the most news, which translates into more subscriptions.

Not all points are doable at the same time.

if you only log in to update skills and haven't already quit, this change won't make you quit.

stop being so over dramatic.

Don't think anyone mentioned they would quit over this , they -including me- stated they wouldn't need to log in any more , well allmost.I don't see anyone stating that it is a bad thing in general either ... just people talking about their personal effect this would have.Stop being so over dramatic dave Blink.

uuuh guys?

You understood that to queue a skill, you still need to fullfill the requirements?
You can not put "Heavy Missile specialisation" into queue if you do not have "heavy missiles" skilled to 5.
You still cannot even inject it.

Forum:
DEV says "change" and forum cries start before the things are understood.

Maybe you should have properly read through the thread first ...
... because what you say doesn't really apply.

And when you say "forum" it shows that you do not understand that "forum"
as much as "people" is used wrongly in 90% of the cases, because lots of people are rather daft.

Read through the thread again ... check all the other threads ...
... and you will notice that you're seriously far off.

I would suggest some time off,
because you show signs of instaresponding.

Dave ... Mag's did not say that he quits over this. He says that he lost the last reason to log in
and that he's thinking of not renewing his sub ... which is because of other issues that are not yet resolved.

Doesn't seem like either of them are quitting over this change. They're quitting over other unrelated reasons and are just stating now they won't even have to log in for skill changing.

considering he didn't cite a single reason, and this thread is about one topic.

he's either just whining for the sake of whining. or he's actually considering quitting over these changes. regardless, he's being over dramatic.

No, he's not considering quitting over these changes ...
... he's considering quitting over the lack of specific changes he desires.
