Subject says it all thoughts?

(Assuming Tech-II across the board and max skills including Tengu and Legion)

(This advice comes completely from a scum-bag Merc Pilot, so most of my advice is highsex peeveepee)

Even though RLML had a hell of a nerf, the RLML Cerb is still good for take out small AF gangs (2-4) and larger tech1 gangs work, It can tank a **** ton of DPS, and can pop two or three depending on the group you are engaging. Though chances are a Frig gang will avoid you like the high plains of hell if you spot you. The only thing is that you will need to avoid basically every other tech2 cruiser and some tech 1's as you can't break the tank fast enough and the long reload times allow the enemy to rep the damage.

I've provided great support with the Cerb with frigate/cruiser gate camps. It's got the range to take out most kitey frigs but provide the needed dps to make short work of bigger ships.

The Blaster fitted Eagle will sometimes catch the enemy by surprise and people will assume they are rail fitted. But to get the DPS you need it'll be a good idea to have HAC's at lvl 4 or 5. It got a small speed buff recently. The rail fitted version might work out in favour if you are roaming with similar fits. The Eagle however is the least used HAC in the game, probably because it supposed to be a mid range snipe boat, but it still lacks the speed to kite.

I've never found the Eagle useful so far in my playtime. So Personally I don't like the ship.

The Tengu has the 100mn fit, but it very expensive but if you're good at manual flight, you should work wonders. Tengu's can also get an extreme active tank, the Blaster fitted Tengu is decent, it gets a great buffer (100K ) But it's DPS is only around 600 700ish. I also have a Insta-locking Tengu for station's, being the dirty Highsec Merc that I am. It will pop most indy and frigates and gets around 1100mm scan res. I use the 250mm Rails with Jav, it gets fairly decent tracking, it'll graze shuttles and with my skills (Which are not perfect) tends to one or two shot a shuttle. Great thing about the Rails is that you can, in general cover, the whole dock points of a station. Letting you cover both the in's and out's.

I have a few Tengu's laying about, so that'll tell you how much I enjoy the ship.

The Legion however is GREAT for insta-locking and probably is the best Tech3 for that role. They have the best lock times and deal fairly decent DPS, more so than my Tengu does. But the Tengu gets a better range. The only other legion fit I've seen do a decent amount of work, is the HAM legion. Legions how do great when it comes to buffer tanks. They make great station games/bait ships.

I've only flown with the Legion and never actually used one, so experience is second hand,

That's all I can say about the ships. I'm still fairly new to game, only been playing for like...a yearish. So I wish you good luck.

Solo PvP is all about not dying rather than killing everyone, so you're looking for ships that can get rid of tackle and can kite really good.

Navy Omen comes to mind. And from the Caldari Lineup, maybe Navy Caracal and Navy Osprey.

Orthrus if you want to get spendy. Pilgrim if you want to slowboat around everywhere, but win your fights.

Navy omen, zealot, navy aug, phantasm, are all superb. That being said- missiles are stronger in a solo situation. You can ignore ewar, which is nice- just bring fof missiles.

Rlm. Caracal, rlm cni, rlm cerb, rlm ortrus (best cruiser) rlm scythe fleet ar all nice choices

hop in a Pilgrim or a Curse and look for hybrid/laser boats (especially active tank ones) you can turn off any cruiser in 15 secs from when you start targeting and they can easily out neut a cap booster in another 12. The great thing about them is that the enemy will have a hard time keeping you tackled so you can run away when 50 of his mates show up.
