Just something I stumbled upon when looking into eve lore.
http://www.biology-online.org/dictionary/Cohort

We know that wormhole space by its name alone (Anoikis) is full of biology references. For the folks with a life, anoikis cells are a type of cell that includes cancerous ones. So when I saw "Cohort 27," it made me wonder.

A cohort is a group of organisms gathered for study.

I've always found the lore regarding the sleepers and anoikis too obscure and incomplete to really bother spending any time on.

Besides the sleepers were (are?) masters of virtual reality so who knows what is real any way ;) (If you understand that you might be able to work out what The Mirror was about).

There are many, many old threads of players digging into the biology links and the relationship between the Sleepers and the Talocan. You can normally come up with your own educated guesses about both just by considering the structures you find in W-space anoms/sigs.

Think it's interesting personally, but like much with the lore lately it's a theory with nothing to expound upon. CCP aren't putting much time into developing this stuff atm it seems.
