It ain't that. Its that the main markets in Jita, Jita is Caldari, and sprinkle some prejudice, and BAM.

The race is pretty much a mirror of the main trade hubs, except amarr isn't that big.

What is amusing to me personally is I'm donating to Gallente just for RP reasons, but apparently so many people are donating to Amarr it's close second to Caldari right now. So even if Gallente loses, I don't have to wait long for the new tech on my True Amarr character trained with a lot of Amarr-skills. Big smile

The Numbers can be explained by this: Both Caldari & Amarr have large RP groups who would fully support their related navies to claim dominance in science.

Minmatar do have a large RP presence as well, but for some reason they are far behind.
Gallente RP presence has been low for a good time and is indeed reflected in the numbers.

It is also possible that alot of the Gallente/Minmatar RP folks support Guillome Renard effort more

Why can't there be some sort of token for each capsuleer participated in that event.
Cmon we've send them tons and tons of valuable sleeper loot and not even a simple "We appreciate your funding of our research with X neural network analyzers and Y data libraries" letter?

Wow, just saw this today. But, poor design.

Who couldn't have seen this result? Basically the faction for the biggest market hub sitters (and second biggest) in the game running away with prize. That and the only pretty face on the list.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, [u]please[/u] give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

Those numbers aren't so scary as they seem, at first. The Caldari points came at a substantial cost. For those keeping track of the 5th option, I forgot to post here but my total is 11,092pts. That's just from the early adopters. Most of the potential donors to my campaign are waiting to decide if I'm trustworthy or not. I've sent Chribba two messages now, asking him to hold blue loot in escrow for me, to alleviate those concerns, but he's traveling right now.

Meanwhile... Big Things(tm) are afoot, for my campaign. Step one is to beat Gallente and Minmatar, get myself positioned for the bronze, and then we'll see what kind of steam I can build, but getting out of dead last is going to be the real test for this.

I agree!

I like this event, but I am not participating as I feel that people able to throw ISk at these items will decide the result.
I would have preferred seeing a special sleeper drone added to each sleeper site, and instead of having it go to market, have the kill count tallied for each faction.. It is more involved, bbut would not be an isk race..

Still I like the concept of events like that, and they may very well be targeted to big ISK spenders anyways...

Importantly, all numbers provided before the donations close are estimates. We will publish final and 100% accurate numbers on the morning of Wednesday October 15th.

I can't help but feel that other major contributors to each faction, say the next top 5 or top 10, should receive some lesser recognition for their efforts. Perhaps a PLEX, one of the new factional Field Marshall jackets, or even both.

Will be interesting to see the results. I am rooting for a come-from-behind win for Gallente, but even if not I am curious to see the top rankings in each faction. There was one Caldari bloke who exclaimed "my poor wallet" earlier in this thread ... trust me, I feel your pain.

But sacrifice is worth it if you believe in something ... or like a little competition. Cool
