When your ship dies, your POD doesn't need to...

Get your pod out.

Heh, once I realized it is best not to have any, I traded mine for billions in loot. While you can't buy my dignity, you can certainly buy the result of my traded dignity on the market. Pirate

Well when updating the med clone costs you 50 mil everytime, pod express is less appealing.

Really, if you care that much about some spacepixel body, get out of your house a bit more.

I rather get podded and then jump into the next ship within seconds so I can have more fun watching explosions of the spaceship type then having to worry about my pod getting out and then all the way back to where my stuff is.

I'm close to that amount on one of my characters (med clone + some basic implants) and still don't care. It's just a cost factor I calculate into losses.

While medical clone costs have been removed in a recent release, implants (especially good ones) still cost a fortune.

Make sure you learn how to get your pod out, in the event your ship ever does go 'boom'. When that structure alarm starts sounding, there are steps to take.

Some games bubble wrap. EvE says, 'choose'.

Nice article.

Stupid question of the day: If I select something on my overview while in my ship, does that item *stay* selected through to when I'm just in my pod? Or do I have to re-select a destination and then spam warp?

Can confirm the advice in the linked blog post. It has saved me many pod losses
