We are going to improve the EVE forums and give the user experience on the forums a nice boost by making the forums responsive with as little resizing, panning, and scrolling on as many devices as possible.

While the web team already cleaned up the forum back-end code during the past months, it is now time to make more visible changes. In this first of two phases we will remove the EVE Gate header from the forums and move most links there to a nice menu in the navigation bar.

Came looking for "We're going to make it possible/easy to see updated posts and threads". Left disappointed. Major pain point of EVE forums not mentioned, much less addressed.

Please please please bring back image signatures like we had in the old forums. I think it really enhances the community in that it lets people inject a little style. We are the content, are we not? As for responsive considerations, well that's an easy fix, isn't it?

For the dissenter below, it would be nothing to place a control in the forums so people could disable all image sigs in their own view. We can accommodate everyone here. Conversely, you could "opt-in" to see people's forum sigs.

These are the two most useful forum features in years. I have been asking for that first once since the very first dev blog. I don't care what the peanut gallery is saying in threadnaughts, i want to see what the "important" people who can actually answer questions and make changes are saying.

One question about that though, is there one button that takes you to the next "important" post, or is there a link for each type of "important person"? I'd much rather have 1 button that works for all of them at the same time (so i don't miss a CSM post in between GM posts for example).

And in the spirit of never being satisfied and always wanting more....
would it be possible to have a button (or add in to the button above) that takes you to the next post by a contact of yours? That would make it easier to see if my friends have posted in a thread, or even the people I don't like in game. Shenanigans for EVERYONE!

That second thing, the post-login return to forum page, is such a quality of life (on the forums) fix. Thanks for that too.

What about a New Posts option where you can see in chronological order all the new posts since your last visit or login?

wow ccp you guys really put in a lot of work besides content patches you're fixing forums.

I assumed the post was regarding new code of conduct rules but hey that's just me. this forum patch will keep me playing for-ever despite the cruel rude trolling that runs rampant on it. thanks a lot ccp you took my suggestions seriously and avoided fixing the real problem... good day to you sir!

All I'll say is I remember a number of posts saying how bad fixed width was, glad to see some of these updates finally coming. Also posting on my phone which sucks. Pretty sure the old forums worked better on my old awful phone
