1. Constant drops from CCP about player constructed gates.

2. Major nut kick nerf to jump distance.

3. Sudden interest by empires in sleeper tech that points to lore involving the sleeper/talocan jump gates.

Think the answer on what is coming is very clear.

T3 propulsion subsystem with jump drive capability?
Or a subsystem to open wormholes on request so that you can move around through whs? Maybe even a t3 industrial to go with it for happy logistics people?

Leaning towards diy gates. Could be wrong... But it certainly sounds legit.

Caldari will be the top donators and they will receive the 1st nerf... errr, rebalancing with the new technology.Twisted

I've been in Eve for about a year or so and havent commented on anything (though I do read just about every dev blog that comes out).

I finally logged on and just wanted to say that I'm really excited for the turn that Eve is taking and I really like when events like this one (And the gecko one) come about. It really motivates me to give up my social life and live on eve for the week or so that it takes place and I am looking forward to seeing what else CCP comes up with to further ruin my real life friendships.

Though I do have one or two questions in regards to the rewards... Is the reward for this event going to be released to the top earner at the conclusion of the event or will it simply affect the official release (such as oceanus) that it is pushed out on? Furthermore, do we have an rough estimate of the time separation that will exist between the various faction releases?

Anyway, thanks again CCP for the Original Content and these new competitions. You have secured my subscription for quite some time.

Well, what I am really waiting for:
- Tech III Cruisers get able to change rigs (change rig as like module, not remove / destroy it), since in my view they should be supposed to do it.
- New Tech III frigate / destroyer, but with different roles like mining / exploring / support / EWAR / bombing / Black Ops / reduced cyno timer / bonus to drone damage / etc, and with the ability to change rigs.

Hope will never die (help CCP Karkur!)

I rarely read the EVE lore, but this sounds very interesting.

However, I can also understand the sentiment of other players. As each faction will receive the new technology eventually, and I would assume that as soon as it is released, that all players will be able to use it, beyond RP value for an unknown item, I don't know if it would be worth it.

Now... if I would receive a "Concord Issue Damage Control Unit" per 100 points donated, that may be a little more fun Lol

The funny thing is, if you do something like training into Amarr, then supporting the Federation, you get the situation where you actively sabotage your chances of getting the new technology early, since you're donating to a faction you weren't born in.

Luckily I also like Gallente ships and have heavily skilled into drones, so this should cover all the bases. As long as the other factions don't win, of course. For Freedom and Democracy! Lol

They're lying to you. Take the fifth way: contract your blue loot to Guillome Renard. Don't just hand the Empires the keys to the universe.

Maybe a lottery would have been a better choice of an event? You know, the "points" are "tickets" for the draw. Idea

what about creating a char with the name like :CCP Hyperion Patch failed" and we are donating all our blue loot for the event to him? He wins and CCP always have a "memorial" about how they destroyed big part of Wormhole comunity with one simple patch?

So we should just hand them over to some random player who is probably just hoarding it all for himself? No thanks.

As for the rest of this thread, the Devs are trying to create some player-driven lore and all you elitists can do is complain. Y'all are worse than youtube commenters...utter garbage. Roll

Guillome Renard is backed up by a few trusted folks, so that's covered. I do like the event CCP is doing, it's a change from the fleet action stuff.

The 5th way people are doing is part of the emergent play that Eve is famous for. Find a new way/route to approach stuff, in this case: Don't support any of the empires as their puppet, but rather choose the 5th way and be a more equal partner in the research rather then be the delivery boy.

I died a little inside when I saw those numbers. Are there that many true Caldari supporters, or is this meta-game thinking because the Tengu is considered one of the best exploration ships and the hope that better tengu tech will come out from this first.

On a side note, would it be fair/possible to see what the highest individual donations are, no names of course just numbers.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.
