Three Problems with new computer

Hello,

I just installed EVE on this new computer. GS 60 Ghost Pro. It is Windows 8.1 Pro and Nvidia GeForce GTX 870m with 3GB vram.
Optimus so there is a Intel 4400 card that likes to jump in too.

After installing Eve it looked fine in full Screen, but like most eve users I like to multitask, so I immediately activated fixed mode. And that's when I started having problems.

First - Going into Windowed mode instead of Fixed window mode made my screen go black and I had to reboot.

Second - The next time I went into Fixed Window. For some reason my blue Caldari station interior suddenly had a bronze cast and was noticeably darker. Almost too dark to notice the usual high detail. Fixed Window Picture

Third - I tried to take a screenshot of the windowed mode so the change in color would be more obvious but printscreen won't work. I tried printscreen, alt-prinscreen, crtl-printscreen, function-printscreen, and other variations, all I got was this. Printscreen would either only take a picture of my desktop, Or when it did take a picture of my game window, it had the escape menu open, even when I did NOT have the options window open.

So I figured this was optimus acting up and intel trying to jump in and take control, so I went into the nvidia control panel and changed my physx from auto to nvidia, and my 3d settings (program) to nvidia instead of auto. When that didn't work I went into 3d and changed the global setting from auto to nvidia. The problem persisted.

In liu of a workaround, is there a way to make my screen brighter? Even though it is brighter in fullscreen, I would still prefer it a little brighter. thank you
