Hey there Vernn!

Mining blue ice is currently illegal but you are welcome to mine any other type of ice. If you had spent as much time moving a few systems over and mining a different type of ice as you did whining here you could have made hundreds of isk by now.

If, on the other hand, you simply must mine blue ice there are several miner protection plans available from any Goonswarm Federation members you see in local. Send a PM to one of them and they will get you on the list of approved miners right away after you take care of the fees.

And the hits just keep on coming. Please refrain from the insults. They accomplish nothing.

I don't see how the mechanics of ganking are beneficial in the whole to this game. They are a bad idea, they give way too much power to way too small of a segment of the population, and there are no real benefits for doing what the gankers do.

Those are my arguments and I'm sticking to them.

I wasn't insulting you. Just making a statement. Usually, finding insults where none were meant is a sign of mental instability. Or an inflated ego...

The gankers benefit from their gankign (usually, unless someone takes action against them and repeatedly pops them as they undock... but that would be too much workRoll). This is a game of self preservation, of looking out for number one. The gankers are (and I can't believe I am saying this) playing EVE in its truest sense.

Just because you cannot see their benefit, doesn't mean no benefit exists. A blind man cannot see his pizza, but it sure is there.

It generates demand for ships and modules; it generates a supply of certain materials; it provides a method to take out competition; it provides a method to take out targets that hide behind various safety mechanics. All of it is good.

So basically, your argument is that you refuse to learn, you refuse to read, and you refuse to understand — after all, these things have been explained to you over and over (and over) by now, and you're still ignorant about the facts — and because of your refusal, the game should change to match your ignorance. Good luck with that one.

Your arguments are not related to EVE so they are utterly irrelevant to this forum.

1) Be unable to cope with game mechanics.
2) Go on forums and complain.
3) Everyone explains how you could just play a little differently (mine elsewhere, set a trap for gankers, fight back, find another source of income until hulkageddon is over)
4) Refuse to change your position, ignore their advice and explanations, say the same thing over and over again.
5) Eventually they get pissed off at your intransigence and start calling you names.
6) Now you congratulate them on losing the debate because they resorted to name calling.
7) ???
8) Profit.

20m SP in industry, and Elite Harvesting certificates here (also, Elite Hull Tanking for the lulz).
pretty **** in combat ships, TBH. pretty **** at not getting ganked too... but I roll with the punches.

would hardly say that I am a "ganker". (just don't ask the Veldspar).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Well, I doubt Tippia is a ganker (don't even knwo if he plays or just hunts through the forums).

And I'm not. Tried it a year ago along with some friends, trying to find bots. Ganking just happened to be the most effective detection method. But it was not for me.

I have been ganked though. Once in a mission (was not fun losing a faction fit BC...). And once in a salvage fit frigate by someone in a Zealot... I'm still chuckling at that one.

How did I miss this gem of a troll thread earlier? Cry

Dollars edited to isk for the overly literal. lol

So in essence what you're saying is that in this game you are paying to get griefed anytime anywhere?

Well, my return to eve will be short then.

Goodbye, door's to your left. Try not to let it hit you on the way out. Prior to returning, please remember that you are indeed paying to get killed repeatedly, everywhere you go, and mommy CCP won't stop it.

Also did no one ask him for his stuff? Or did I just miss it while giggling at this thread? Gimme your stuff (if you have anything left).

Or just tell me where you're mining, I'll come and take it. That works too.

Yes. The problem is that you refuse to solve a very very very very very simple issue you're having by not taking any kind of responsibility for your own actions and your own choices.

They only have the power you give them.

I've mined blue ice here and there in Gallente space without paying (I'm so going to regret saying this). Made a lot too.

Had to work for it of course.

Anyway, if you let someone walk all over you, of course they will have the power. You gave it to them the moment you decided it was to much work to take defensive measures.

Edit: yeah Dan, if this is a troll, at least he keeps up well. And if not... I worry.

No, several people have agreed. They just aren't the ones slinging insults and throwing around common internet fodder like "9.5/10."

That you see this as a problem is exactly why Eve is not the game for you. This is exactly what makes eve unique and why CCP and eve have received hundreds of awards.

The problem is that for every actual troll, there are 50 complete idiots who believe the same thing, so it's just so much easier to group the genuine trolls in with the idiots.

Lazy, I know, but it just simplifies matters so much.
