Traits you like in an fc?

a.) Knows what "we're" supposed to be doing.

b.) Knows how to do what we're supposed to be doing.

c.) Knows how to tell others what they're supposed to be doing so we can do what we're supposed to be doing.

d.) Can correct others without being an a$$hole about it, or like your daddy (which is redundant I guess.)

e.) TELLS YOU WHEN YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT. (Not as commons one might think.)

f.) NEVER gets angry. NEVER ever ever ever. Never....gets angry.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

An FC that knows the pilots and their skills (IE they dont put the most experienced pilot in a t1 frigate to tackle) and a FC that if there is a target in a system during the roam but not right in the area as you jump in, you put some effort into finding him instead of jumping system to system till you find a target on that gate and after know there is 300 reds in system via scout and deciding to jump the guy on the gate anyways expecting not to be jumped back.

Reminds me of an FC i had a while ago who frequently needed to start whispering on teamspeak because it was time for his kids to go to bed .The targetcalling was as soothening as counting sheeps and funnily enough the rest of our 100+ fleet started to whisper too .


OW and what i expect from an FC , to have a decent sense of humor and not behave like a total ****.

This is easy......The more unstable the FC is, the better and I'm not talking 'drunk unstable'.

There is no better comedy than to listen to a FC just emotionally 'loose it' when fleet members screw up and 'freak out' calling targets in the middle of a decent fight.

You literally have tears running down your face, laughing so hard.

Since I have only flown in a decent-sized fleet a couple times, the trait I would like in an FC is 'instructor.' :)

The best one in that category are people FC'ing gang of really agile ships using fleet warps who always talk slowly to make sure you get the fact it was a misstake until you are hauling ass at 1AU/s or more.

In my alliance, I have nothing but praise for my FCs, most are european and Im US but I can understand well enough to do what ever they order us to do without even asking them to repeat what they said. I actually enjoy listening to them as we engage targets on the field and sometimes it does gets a little bit hairy (LOL), but despite all of that, I have nothing but praise for the best FCs I ever flown with.Big smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smile

Suas was my favourite fc. If you did something dumb he was sure to let you know about it. And the songs were nice.

FCs that don't repeatedly repeat the last sentance 800 times.

"Anchor on me. Anchor on me. Anchor on me. Primary is (insert name here). Drones on (insert name here)."
"Anchor on me. Anchor on me. Anchor on me. Primary is (insert name here). Drones on (insert name here)."
"Anchor on me. Anchor on me. Anchor on me. Primary is (insert name here). Drones on (insert name here)."

When they start doing that: "User disconnected from your channel".

What I look for in an FC:

- Clear, concise instructions.
- A leader who knows that not everyone has the same degree of talent / knowledge as others.
- Someone who can have a laugh and really isn't bothered if the fleet is outnumbered.
- Someone who know his **** by the range that enemies warp in or what ships they fly. No point having an FC who can't tell you what a Kitsune or Eris is...
