I'm new to the wormhole game and was thinking of adding wormholes to my exploration routes as I go around scanning relic sites and such. My question is should I even bother going or are all C1-C3 WHs pretty much taken with permanent residents who wouldn't take kindly to my probes?

There's only one way to find out, bust out the probes and go play laser tag with your neighbors.

There are plenty of C1-3 systems that have only offline towers, or inactive corps. If you are looking to make money, the C3 can be pretty decent. The C1/2 sites are very easy and low isk/site.

As for whether they wouldn't take kindly... who cares? #YOLO

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.

As stated before, c1 and c2 wh's have a low pay out but are very easy to clear. In wh's if your doing relics and data sites I suggest ignoring all the data sites they are worthless, focus on relic sites. C3's are quite profitable, although harder to do then c1 and c2 sites they can still be solo'd. Id also recommend doing a few combat anoms with a salvaging/scanning alt. The combat sites and salvage are were the isk is at in wh space.

P.S. in wh space people are always out to kill you. Constantly watch d scan and check for active ships in system before you start running sites.

To be honest it would be safer to add low sec to your route & stay clear of Wspace. Catching day trippers like yourself is a wormhole dweller specialty.

If you can scan down a chain pretty good, a great way to make money is getting into a gila or an ishtar and running relic/data sites in a c5 solo.

You are vulnerable but if you do your work scanning around yourself you should be able to make some solid coin.

If you are just scanning and exploring, and not doing direct combat, you want to use wormholes for 2 things.

Covert research labs, rare but a great find, bring a tanker ship if your skills are crap.

The second is routes. Use wormholes to get to the juicy sites in mega deep null or in highsec/lowsec pockets. Wormholes, great transit

Yaay!!!!

You should probably go ahead and tattoo "OBVIOUS TROLL" on your forehead.

Crime, it is not a "career", it is a lifestyle.
