CCP made a very good call on this. At first I was questioning the decision but after thinking about it... There's going to be a lot of interesting things happening. It's going to make trade routes so much more important. Freighters will actually need other people protecting them as they move around. With good scouting you'll be able to see people moving on the map from a distance. It's going to make things a hell of a lot more interesting.

In the game of conquest, who cares about the pawns if the king yet reigns?

How, exactly, can you make any genuine predictions about increasing subscriber count based on nerfing jump drives?

I mean, I don't really care much either way about this change, but I just find it incredulous that people so often say "hey guys, the thing that I happen to like will totally bring more people into the game!".

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

I personally know a lot of players who stopped playing because, at that time, a few powerful orgs could go nearly anywhere at any time. This does change that significantly.

Though I'm not sure if they are considering coming back right away this may encourage them to give the game another look.

Interstellar Gambling System accessible at stations and via your ship interface - that would bring a lot of people. Jump changes, meh - smart will still jump around, dumb will quit or whine so basically business as usual.

No, it did not.
