What is the best tactic to finding a specific WH?

For example, I've looked up that J123456 is interesting, how do I find that exact system fastest?

Set up shop in a wh that has a static of the same class as your target system, and then chain rolling until you feel like /wrists, and then some more.

You might still not find it, but chances are you'll find some other hole that makes you happy.

If you really want to find something quickly just put a notice up / advertise you are willing to pay for an entrance for the system.

This is the correct way to do it. Also note that your price for the bookmarks will determine if your ad works. Put your price too low (50m-100m) and you will probably never get help unless someone comes across it by chance and is friendly. Better WH seekers generally pay 300m-500m for a WH location, as finding a specific hole can represent many hours of work on the part of the explorers.

If you're really serious//rich/seriously rich/want it done soon, you can offer 1b+ for the location and perhaps get faster results, but I generally don't encourage people to pay in this range unless there is an established WH being sold with resources already staged in it. I sold a C3>N with a Thanny in it in this range once, circa late Odyssey 2012, for reference.

In any case, do offer a sum that encourages people to help you, otherwise all you'll get is forum replies probably.

Yeah, well, it's just like my opinion, man.

fastest way offer enough isk to entice the wormhole forums to drop you a line if they find it.
not fastest way, have a static that rolls into that class of wormhole and just keep rolling, rolling, rolling.
then there is just scanning loads of chains to try find it.

either way, big pain unless you offer enough isk that people want the reward and help

Another option is locator agents, here me out. If you know who lives in there you watch list them. Go to Locates Are Us or any other locator agent channel and pay for locates. 90% of the time they're in WH space but if they're online there's a chance they're running freight (especially if you choose their freight characters). From there you just follow the character back to the WH chain exit.

You're not looking for the hole that we podded you in, are you? Didn't you learn anything about AFK POCO bashing the first time?
