No, dear angry bear.

Carebearing is part of EvE. But if you want to make the big money, you should have to risk big money.

Thats all.

They are not risk free, and most of them are empty because their median isk per hour is worse than level 4 missions.

And least try to have a clue of what you're talking about?

Comapred to what level 4? Runnign SOE in apanake? the theorethical highest one? Where to achive that numbers you need ot use a pimped up ship that will SURELY get suicide ganked on that system dependign ont he timezone you play?

Things are not so pink and bright as null sec tries to paint. The average l4 income on non gank filled zones are about HALF of the advertised peak numbers achievable in only 2 systems.

I can understand, and even advocate, some of these suggestions made by the OP, but most (if not all) can simply be answered this way:

CCP is a business

Hisec = safe(ish) place for new players

New players = more business

Hisec (being safeish) = more business

I recognize you want to have more pvp, but honestly, your suggestions are just not going to happen.

Hisec is hard enough as it is for people who suck at PvP lol what you're suggesting would cause tons of people to quit the game, losing CCP a lot of money. It's not about who is tougher and they need to htfu, it's about money.

Nice sentiments(somewhat), but not very well thought through.

Lesson learned: Just because it is exploited by vets, doesn't mean the newbs should suffer.

Lowsec exists so that people who want hisec to be more like lowsec, can have a lowsec instead. Null is for the people who want lowsec to be even more dangerous. There is a reason this distinction exists :P

That is why you can easily keep the STARTING corps out of that. And make people leave to the main NPC corps after 6-8 months into the game.

You're going the wrong way about my argument.

L4s have pretty good income. I was not suggesting that they have excellent income, that's incursions, which are almost literally risk free since you have a fleet of logi backing you up. That needs nerfed severely.

I am however suggesting that null PvE rather well sucks unless you have optimal conditions. In highsec, by and large your ability to make a profit is not dependent on whether other people choose to screw with you or not, and if they do it's easy to get past them. In nullsec whether you make a profit or not is far, far more dependent on the actions of others, and on what system you happen to be living in.

Try asking a renter how much they make when Pizza is in the area.

the loonie toon thread.... The risk for reward must be balanced. You are suggesting we make high sec into null sec... only with war decs and ganking...and without the same reward. My feeling is they must be and should be different but equal types of play.
I suggest we increase the reward and dtop some of the high sec restrictions instead ...then ignore your suggestions..becauase right now many places in high sec are already more dangerous than most places in null sec.

It's called satire dear.
This whole thread is a satirical commentary on, and counterpoint to, the constant calls for highsec to become a theme park where someone can gain everything while risking nothing.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

As long as ccp splits the sandbox into two Fitting types, PVE & PVP, isn't all of this discussion missing a fundamental point:

Run L4 World's Collide in a PVP fit, then swap over to a PVE fit and head to low sec?

One fit to rule them all or the rest is moot, imo.

So, while I'm on vacation, I have been browsing the forums with my stupid, stupid iPhone. And one of the painfully constant prompts came up, and it gave me an idea.

What if CONCORD only came if either the gank victim, or someone on grid "called the cops", as it were?

What if you actually had to summon them, or they don't show up at all until after the victim is dead?

Just like real life. I mean, since I've heard so much crying about "realism" from the anti ganking hoods, so clearly more realism would be in their full favor.

If that ever actually happens, highsec will get nerfed really hard. You lot should be praying every day that CCP never does rebalance based on risk vs reward, or I'll have a merry old time burning you sorry freaks down for days at a time.

Its only fair that both sides have their own thread.

Viola!

To start out:

  • Buff rats in belts. Give them web/scram/smartbombs. The longer someone sits in a belt, the stronger class of rat spawns in.
  • NPC corps of opposing factions are at war by default, mirroring FW.
  • Remove local. If you want to see local, youll need to be in a corp, and the corp will pay a tax to connect to the local intel.
  • Once wardecced, you do not have the ablity to leave corp at all. The button is grayed out. The only way out is to surrender or win. If the defender (and allies) beats the aggressor after 1 week (isk war), the aggressor is unable to declare war for two weeks after that.
  • Move ALL level 4 missions to lowsec, and increase the payouts.
  • Remove highsec incursions, or dramatically decrease the payouts. There is no risk for the current meta.
  • Ships in NPC corps must pay docking fees each time they dock up.
  • NPC players cant undock in anything larger than a cruiser hull.
  • If you are operating in a lower-sec part of highsec, you get pirate FACPO-style response if you have a super-positive sec status.
  • Killing a -5 or below in highsec adds "tags" to their wreck, purchasable by NPC's at CONCORD stations (similar to WH loot). Does not spawn if CONCORD is on the KM. The more badass the pirate, the more ISK his tags are worth.
  • Miners whom deplete a belt are fined, and assessed a sec status hit.

Edit: Allow players to JOIN FACPO corps. FACPO-players would be able to engage the same level of sec status player that would have spawned the NPC version. (-2 in 1.0, ect)

*Ahem* ;)

  • Buff rats in belts? Love that idea. That would be fun...but in the same respect, must buff signature fights as well.

  • NPC corps at war by default? Meh.....no basis for this idea and wonky foundation at best because then it eliminates FW's entire purpose AND that FW is connected to Dust 514. *thumbs down* dumb idea, bro.

  • Remove local? Maybe. Probably not. This just creates a burden where there is no burden plus with the new changes to the overview, it can be set up as an instant and constant D-scan. This idea sounds like a baby not getting its bottle and going wah wah to mommy. Dumb idea bro.

  • No wardec dodges - Love this idea, but you aren't the first to think it up so keep on beating that horse, you plagiarizing plagiarizer lol ;)

  • Move level 4 missions to low/null? Yep. Because the NPE isn't bad enough we need to REALLY f!ck it up real good *laughs* you slippin', fallin', can't get up, oh yeah you slippin', fallin' you gots to get up. Worst idea ever dude. Legit. Stand in the corner ;)

  • Remove hisec incursions? See now you're losing track as an ideas man and you sound like another poor soul who has nothing to really live for so the pew pew game must solely benefit them. You and James 315 should have tea and crumpets. That would be a hoot!

  • Pay docking fee's? You know I've always sort of wondered why that's not in the game. You dock up, dump all your **** and let it sit for years and years but it doesn't cost you squat. That is pretty unrealistic, actually. You had a flash of brilliance here, savor it!

  • Nothing larger than a cruiser hull? There goes your flash of brilliance into more wah wah for mama's bewbie. Seriously? Do you know who hitler was? Google him, you'd be a fan.

  • From here down was mostly gibberish and incoherent thoughts and I have not the time to tell you just how wrong you are, so I'll simply say...........

  • NO ...... sit boo boo sit, good dog.

Easy to say, but the proof is in where YOU mainly reside. I already know your answer: high sec. But, "why?" I ask you:

"Because I really don't believe what I said. High sec is much safer."

"Because I really do believe what I said. I like the danger and I'm just speaking for others."

Either response gets you harassed mocked (in a way fully compliant with all international treaties against torture) with laughter up and down the halls of your station.

Note on relevance to OP: typical high sec carebear lying or delusion behind their "nerf highsec, its too harsh" repetitiveness, for which they should be punished!
