So we just got the last of this wonderful implant set, and i love it!
but something is wrong.
Only ONE of the implants are receiving the set bonus (the first one plugged in receives the bonus)
how many are experiencing this? Oops

Last I checked it was a display issue on one of the implant show info, the modified attributes should be correctly boosted however.

Total bonus for the set is supposed to be 1.5%*1.5*1.5 = 3.375% to PWG, CPU, cap recharge and amount. Perception and Intelligence aren't affected by this.

Let me know if that's not the case.

i havent tested them yet, but thanks for pointing it out being a display issue!
i can feel relieved now that i know i'm not losing 1.5% cap recharge!

Dont see where it says it the last implant all the description says is its the follow up to the first of the series.

Offtopic, but how many implants are there going to be released? It looks like 2, but for some reason I was expecting at least 3 implants minimum and if it was a full set at least 5 if it went like other normal sets. I am just unsure, was expecting the second implant last week and the last one on/around Christmas if it was 3.

I believe this specific set only has 2 implants. Is it not in the description?

Of course this does not preclude CCP from releasing future sets.

You are correct, unfortunately the first one doesn't say a thing about it which is all I ever looked at.

Development
The modestly titled “Core Augmentation” implant set was developed by Genolution with the assistance of implantation specialists and other leaders in the field of neural augmentation, some of whom have long been rumored to be SoCT alumni.

The CA-1 is a rarity in the often hyper-specialized industry of neural augmentations. It provides a dual function; tapping into both the occipital lobe for a perception boost, and also the neocortex, for improving the brain’s handling of a ship’s energy and capacitor needs. Like the infamous pirate implant sets found on capsuleer markets, each implant is also designed to work at higher levels when integrated into a neural implant network.

Though many in the augmentation industry initially questioned the agenda behind Genolution’s entry into the implantation field, fears eventually subsided as the implant was shown to be one of the safest on record. Genolution went one step further to assuage fears however and vowed never to release the implant to open markets, providing only a single-run issue to capsuleers as a demonstration of the technology.

I hadn't bothered to read the second one cause I thought it was the same, because generally its easier to copypasta ( and move on to the next project then actually put some time into it. Every other pirate implant is practicly word for word similar even among the different sets, less what the stats it boosts and I usually just glance at them.

Nothing you copied from the description of that items says anything about a 2 implant set.

The only thing the new implant that we got today says that it is the 2nd in the series, not last, not next to next to last. It doesn't say anything.

So before you go assuming things go find a dev post that can give you more details.

Because as far as i can tell on the crucible web page it says we wil get the CA-1 and nothing else but we still got a second one that was ever posted or mentioned.

Food for thought.

I'd like to ask a serious question. What group of players or what type of pilot are these implants targeted at?

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

I bet logi pilots will like them, anything that helps cap is a good thing.

CPU/ PG, Cap recharge and stat buff standard. Pretty much everyone except full passive Drake pilots but last time I was in one, they didn't really need a buff.

To continue the discussion, how are these better than:

+4/+5
Any pirate implant in that slot

AND/OR

Combined with appropriate slot 6 implant in one area (grid/cpu/cap)

?

I can see these being very useful for mission-runners.
The extra PG/CPU might help squeeze-in that last module, or upgrade gun-size, etc.
Faster Cap Recharge and More Cap are also very useful for mission-runners.
I fly Gallente Rail-boats, and definately plan on plugging these-in.

They aren't better than +4/+5 pirate implants, they are simply different.
None of the pirate implants give boosts to fitting, or Cap.
For instance a Crystal set is pretty-much useless to Gallente/Amarr pilots who don't fit Shield Boosters.
A Slave is the obvious answer for Gallente/Amarr, but there with Mission runners, Armor HP AMOUNT isn't that useful on an active-tank armor ship. Sure a little extra buffer helps, but it might not be worth the cost for some.

These give you Fitting and Cap without taking-up other slots (6-10) which can be used for DPS, Tracking, Armor-rep Amount etc. OR...
MORE FITTING. Combining the CA-1/2 with a regular PG implant for instance could render some pretty extraordinary fits.

I really hope they continue with these and do a whole-set (similar to the pirate implants).

They're free and make it where super tight fits can now throw on that microwarp they otherwise couldn't without sacrificing a dps mod.

I've thrown them on my "general" clone. Personally, I hope CCP makes implants like these available in the future (not a one time gift). Because I know it's a matter of time before I lose these gifts.

Actually, the very first thing it says in the description is, "This is the second half of the Core Augmentation implant set..."

Things generally only have two halves. Expecting a third half would be... mathematically inept.

I'm guessing hardcore mission runners could tweak out that ever so slightly more efficient, cap stable Golem, CNR fit.

ofc there will be a set, that would be really awesome. they are releasing the implants by batches to reward the players that stick on eve for a certain perioud of time. A set would boost everything to 11%, finaly a usefull collectors item....
