Will this turn in a free for all with people turning up shooting everything that moves.. most likely, does it matter.. hell no.

Lets be honest here.. even if your blown up and podded it will cost you what.. a frig / dessie + fit + 1 pod.. easy under 10mil.

Yeah i had to find a fresh jump clone for this but I got an empty body now for the short time Ill be doing this.

I Still would like to know how you plan to cyno jam (incursion profile) the low sec system before hand. I am not saying this is a bad idea. I will come along anyway. Just wish to know how you plan to get your beast in there before hand.

all he need to do is fire on his alt or anything in particular to get GCC, so maybe even though you dont get GCC (which i think is weird) it will be very easy for him to get it and keep it agressed

I'm pretty sure it does give you GCC. Either way it does not matter. It is important I am already flash before I undock so I will do one of two things:

1) Go ballistic in high sec suiciding a few Hulks screaming, "By the power of Helicity!!!" to property thrash my security status below -5.0 so I am an outlaw and legally can be shot when I do undock.

-or-

2)

a. Position the clone I plan to die with in the event system.
b. Be somewhere else in the galaxy the day of the event in a different clone.
c. 5 or so minutes before I plan on undocking with the Moros shoot an alt/random person to go GCC.
d. Dock in a station.
e. Clone jump to the event location.
f. Undock having GCC.
g. Everyone in system profits!!!

Anyways, still not decided yet on which of the two.

Well, you can try and shoot a station in highsec.

Like i once did. Accidentally. In a Loki.

You can't imagine the ........ OH SH......... and then ........... silence.

Then the sentry guns shot at me. *lol*



TL;DR:

One does not acquire GCC for shooting at a NPC Station.

You're overthinking this. Just shoot at one of the non-flashy scrubs who shows up in something other than a frigate or destroyer. In the exceedingly unlikely event that there isn't a single such ship on grid when you undock, sort your overview by angular velocity and fire a single volley at whoever's is highest. If by some miracle you kill him, well so be it. Then throughout the event continue targeting and shooting at whoever shows up in a medium or larger hull.

Updated OP with date and time of the event. The time reflects when there is most likely the most players logged in according to eve-offline.com so hopefully most people can make it. I am planning something a bit later (probably after the holidays) for Australian peak time zone on a Saturday/Sunday. So if your from the land down under, don't hesitate to let me know of a good time via evemail or posting in this thread. Love you guys down there!

Anyhow, the Flight of a Thousand Rifters event will be this Saturday at 19:00!!!

That is 2012.12.17 for you non-Americans and 12-17-12 for us Americans. P

The location will NOT be announced until the day of the event. I'm sorry I can't do it prior, but I will announce it as fast as I am allowed that day. Even if it means me waking up in the middle of the night to get you the information, and crashing back to sleep in preparation of me eating thousands of internet bullets flying my Moros.

Think ill fit up as many Thrashers as I can and stuff them into my Orca and stage from the center of high sec. Then when the system is announced travel to the last high sec station and prepare there.

The rest of you don't bother because I'm going to win this hands down. Also would not be surprised to see some null power block use this distraction to invade an enemy or something. :tinfoil:
