there are no distance requirements on Micro warp drives, the only times they wont function are in deadspace pockets which are special rare sites, when your actively being scrambled by another player, or when you dont have the capacitor to run it

♣ Small Gang PVP, Large Fleet PVP, Black Ops, Incursions, Trade, and Industry ♣ 70% Lethal / 30% Super-Snuggly / 110% No idea what im doing ♣

Yes that fits the experience I had with them. I context clicked a wreck 180km away and noticed the option to warp had appeared. After warping to it I tried to warp to something else at 118km and the option wasn't there.

Sorry for calling it a MWD, I just had the fact that it is so similar to WMD distracting me.

Just an interesting little tidbit of information, you can only initiate a warp against an object that's at least 150km away from you, but you can make a warp as short as 50km by choosing to warp 100km away from the object.

So while something has to be 150km away to initiate a warp, the shortest warp you can actually make is 50km.

Talk is cheap, but Void S and Quake L are cheaper.

Good thinking, I'm liking this, only thing I need to do now is find a use for it.

its super usefull in PVP and PVE to drop you in optimal or very close to it
For example if you create a bookmark 200 off an asteroid belt in null or low sec and theres a faction spawn and your in say a proteus you can look to see what asteroid its near, judge the range with your tactical overlay, then warp right ontop of it and start shooting without needing to waste time approaching, which in PVP is huge

If you warp to something within 100km you can make a bookmark then warp back to where you started. Then if you warp to within 100km of your bookmark you'll have another bookmark 200km out that can see your original destination and is far enough to warp to it.

I have removed some rule breaking posts and those quoting them.

The Rules:
27. Off-topic posting is prohibited.

Off-topic posting is permitted within reason, as sometimes a single comment may color or lighten the tone of discussion. However, excessive posting of off-topic remarks in an attempt to derail a thread may result in the thread being locked, or a forum warning being issued to the off-topic poster.

Also, as the (initially wrongly worded) question by the OP has been answered, this thread gets a lock.
