Walk In Stations Idea that is realistic......

....or more specifically, walking in ships. Ok the idea of walking in stations is kind of out on a limb as far as the ability of the servers and peoples' hardware being able to handle the workload.

Has CCP ever considered allowing walking in ships? This would apply to really just capital ships and above.

In other words, Capitals, super-caps and titans could all engage a feature that would put the ship into a kind of "siege" mode where it allowed other players to dock in the ship. The ship would have a user limit say 10 people for carriers, 15 for dreads, 30 for super-caps and 50 for titans.

Once users have docked up, they'll be allowed to select an option similar to how you'd open up your character modification sheet or selected the 3d walk-in-station option when docked up. There you could meet up with other people. Also allow the ship to host various things, like unique decorations, furniture, decor etc. Also things like mini-games. i.e. gambling for isk, etc.

I got the idea from the way the game Fable was set up, where you could deviate from your quest line and just go do whatever. Every tavern had a mini-game host.


You could also put things like bulletin boards, movies, music, etc. I.e. What music you want playing in your ship's personnel room you simply link out from another site. "Enter URL for background music."


Any thoughts?

id settle for just bein able to visit other peoples quarters, particularly if some suggestions are taken from this thread:

CCP has issues trying to get mulitple player/ships to inhabit the same ship space, hence the reason we are presently unable to dock at titans/SC's ect. If they were able to sort that out then I would support this idea purely on the grounds of seeing the killmails for when a titan gets ganked with 50 players inside of it.

lol I didn't think of that HAHAHAHA. That'd actually be epic. Should also have features like allowing bar fights, shooting etc as an option on filters for the ship.
