a while ago i tried to experiment with the ewar drones to see if they were any good. to my dismay they would only engage when told to (even though my settings have drones set to aggressive), and then they would stop where they were after what appeared to be 1 cycle and then re-approach my ship at what seemed to be sub-mwd speed.

just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else or not etc

Yes, drones are broken in a lot of ways. They will almost always ignore aggressive settings, they will not stay on target... off the top of my head.

Never had this issue. My CPT likes to use his "Rescue Whale" Navy Aug with said drones and it works just fine.

manual control using hotkeys is the best way to do it IMO. AFK drones are not cool anyways, so having that all work "automajically" shouldn't happen anyways.
