SSC is currently undertaking "Carthage", the settling of a very, very old grudge.

The story isn't that interesting for public I would assume. The execution of this invasion is however something to applaud, and I imagine a lot of effort has been put towards this. We've seen this coming for a while now, and last night I think was culminative and things started going down in our system.
I said this already but still. From my perspective last night was special. ADHC was struggling with activity this year more than ever, but we always had this unwritten rule that if anything like this happens, any member, current or past, would (to their ability, RL allowing) come and help.

James decided to pull the trigger on the invasion, mails went out and soon enough we had people that we haven't seen in years, in some cases, re-subscribing, loging on coms and asking how they can help. When the POS's started to go into reinforced mode we had 39 people on mumble and 32 players in game. It was amazing! Getting to talk to, joke around, catch up with people you spent your entire eve career once again was fenomenal and this event made it possible. I missed all these guys and gals and it was truly heartwarming to see them all come and fly internet spaceships with us once again.
We tried to put together a final stand fleet of doom and go down in a decent fashion. We were hoping to get at least some capital kills but due to mistakes we made in the planning stages, it didn't work out so well and our fleet was a little bit too far apart (two clusters of ships), in order to be efficient. The fleet went down and we spent another couple of hours chatting and enjoying the family reunion and trying to consolidate what we had left and prepera for when the towers come out. We still have ships left :)
I don't envy James's fleet, because they are doing all the hard work, setting up hole control, bubbles, scanning and what not. but I guess that's what invasions are. I also applaud the local-chat discipline from SCC, that was nice to see.
I got some fraps footage of the battle, I'll try to make something out of it when I get some free time. As for the ISK value of the invasion, I imagine it will end up being a lot higher then what it is now, I wonder if this event will break any records when it comes to that in w-space. It will be interesting to see.

Sucks I wasn't able to install the game and get in in time for the effort. I'd have loved a crack at some old friends like Autumnwind or Myrddin.

Still time left though. Hopefully we get a few good fights in before this is all over.

For this I re-subbed? I kind of hoped it would at least be about something more contemporary than imagined slights from 3-4 years ago.

It was fun logging in to say Hi to a bunch of old friends though. Congrats Asay. I just noticed you made CSM.Big smile You deserve it.

All those evictions make me think that it may not be a good idea for our little corp to move in a C5 Ugh

On another note, I read somewhere (probably on reddit) that one of the reason why SSC decided to evict ADHC is because ADHC was not giving any "content" and cause they were rage rolling their holes much of the time giving no fights to BoB.

If it's true, then why ADHC was many time in the top 20 corp in the Monthly Wormhole Killborad? Seams to me that they were actually creating content no?

Or is this all because of some old harsh feelings toward them?

It's a personal grudge between the two corps. Deep rooted in corp culture, at least for the older guys.
Not to say we hate ADHOC, it's just the way things are. Like the empire and the rebellion in starwars, only this time, the empire won.

I think we are approaching New Dawn. Then on to New Hope =)

And there is no "grudge" from anyone other than James. ADHC didn't conform to his vision. We decided to play Eve instead. And now you pulled off a great invasion. Kudos for that =)

Last night was the first time I'd logged in for anything but skills in months, and I got to lose my (alt's) cap in a glorious ball of death. And better yet, when I later checked the killboards it turned out there were some familiar old unistas involved. Thanks for bringing it SSC, it's already been the most fun I've had in EVE for a while, hopefully I'll get chance to log in again over the weekend for some more :)

Both parties are having fun, and for that, we are all thankful.
Well deserved Kudos for SSC, who pulled a really nice eviction move on us. They pretty much have things on their control.
I must say I admire all the effort behind all this.

And above all, I admire that this event, taking into consideration all that has been going on in WSpace, this one has been ADHC vs SSC only.

A chapter is about to close for ADHC, and a new one will soon begin.

Cheers to the future, and whatever it brings to us.

Naturally you did this right when my dissertation ramps way the hell up. I barely had time to log in and welp one fleet early on, and I so dearly want to do it again. It's great having someone to PvP with so close by and always ready for action.

Also kudos on getting, let's see, at least nine or ten caps in undetected before we caught the archon? I've coordinated ops like this before and I know that is no small feat. I can only imagine how much more annoying it is now with the new jump mechanics.

Okay, now this I'm very curious about. Did you see any caps before Clunk? Because there was a very tense moment when Grigg Grrete was on grid with 3 cloaked Archons at a recently collapsed nullsec connection in your dynamic.Big smile

Incorrect. For myself, I still remember the aloof and quite terrible way you told me to **** off when I applied to your corp long time ago as a wide-eyed wh noob. Trust me, it played a part in pushing this op forward.... I guess the lesson is: be careful about how you refuse people, you never know how things turn up down the road ;)
