This has not occurred for me anyway, and I kinda always have my alt corps pay rather than the autobox...

I am not surprised by any of this anymore.
The only way CCP can surprise me now is to uncheck the fuel gauge in my car, leaving me stranded on the road.

Give us or gnome back atleast, geesh not that hard to do(after what it took to get approved).

[WTS] New meaning for "autopay". Inquries may be sent to the GMs.

...And after the yellowboxing and redboxing, lets introduce the checkboxing!

CCP RETURN THE GNOME!

Seriously, after all it took to get that logo approved it sucks to have it taken away so quickly by a stupid bug in an otherwise great patch.

Oh, and if we could have our SOV back too that would be great. Cheers!

The problem is the inability to make GMs accountable via the potential to be banned for posting GM correspondence. This means that GMs have very little incentive to act competently. Lower-level GMs will give you an off-hand comment and close your petition or make a decision without having any legitimate knowledge of the issue or mechanic rather than proactively kicking it up to a higher-level GM who may be able to legitimately answer your question.

Players have been banned in the past for criticizing the GM system and the petition system. People have been banned for posting GM correspondences that are, to be quite honest, extremely apathetic and sometimes downright oppositional to game policy. I've been threatened with a warning by GM Thunder for bumping a miner in a belt for 15 minutes while a fleet member with GCC was waiting out his aggro timer to suicidegank him. Members of my alliance have been temporarily banned for discussing politics in local (not the typical local spam we employ on fleet ops, but legitimate banter and things in the local of our home systems).

Others of my alliance received an official and, after petitions, unreversed warning for "impersonating CCP employees", and some even received an additional warning for disclosing GM correspondence to another GM when we spammed the recruitment channel satirizing a warning from a GM that accidentally used the word "seize action in all CCP moderated channels" rather than cease. It was extremely clear that our actions were satirical and humorous in nature but the inability to disclose GM correspondence means that, at any time, a GM responding to a petition can choose to ignore the existence of other GM statements when rendering a judgement, at their own personal convenience, and can potentially ban you for copy/pasting from another petition into a current one.

The GM system is ridiculously broken and is aggressively and intentionally structured to ensure that there is no way to speak out against erroneous or abusive GM activities without fear of retribution in the form of further punishment. When a player makes a public statement about a ban there is no way for any sort of legitimate backlash to occur because all protests and negative feedback can be quashed under the guise of "it is against CCP rules to discuss GM correspondence", as was seen with the ridiculous ban on Helicity Boson for using the term "die in a fire", a common internet term.

CCP has been making steps to restore the confidence of the playerbase in them both as a caring company and as a competent developer, and while they've made commendable steps towards repairing a very buggy, unbalanced and sometimes downright broken game, their most common interface with the community as a company are woefully unhelpful and ineffective at resolving any sort of issue beyond the most very basic and simple grievances. Beyond that, they're unaccountable save for a single e-mail address (internalaffairs@ccpgames.com) which is run by a head GM and a former GM, which means that it's a sounding board to have your specific grievance ignored in favour of maintaining the perceive position of GM infallibility.

The GM system is broken. The ban on releasing GM correspondence is terrible and does nothing but protect incompetent or malicious GM activities from exposure.

EVE 'prides' itself on being a sandbox for nerds and the 99%, and that is what we are treated like by GMs.

We get silenced - just like Gandhi and Martin Luther King.

It's time you, CCP, listened to the players and started sorting out the 'meta' side of your company.

Also my confidence in CCP will not return until they remove the ban on scamming in recruitment.
