We sprinkle magical wormhole sleeper pixie dust on our capitals and use happy thoughts to make this kind of thing happen.

Screw seeding capitals - if capitals can jump gates WH space should do a dps thanny roam :O a 100 man carrier fleet would have ludicrous amounts of damage since the drone changes and fairly mobile using MWD trick, roving carrier gangs will be something to be reckoned with.

I love during the wormhole changes they were telling a lot of wormholers to stop crying because we had to now put our capitals at risk (even though we risked them anyway).

Now suddenly it is them that, god forbid, have to put their capitals at risk and look at the backlash. So many people threatening to quit and crying. It's hilarious. Lol

On the note of the actually change. I like it. It basically means now that massive groups are not going to be useful anymore because it will be too much to jump all the caps half way across the universe. Let's face it, they're not going to gate 40 jumps with a fleet of Dreads are they.

This is good because they might now start looking closer to home for fights, which potentially de-stagnates (is that a word?) the blue doughnut. Rather than having North vs South or East vs West, there is potential for the smaller fights to happen as well as better sub capital fights.

The other thing this opens up is Ghost Fleets. Attack from two fronts with a delayed force on one front once your Ghost Fleet has drawn out the main bulk of their forces, leaving their other end wide open.

Over all I like the changes but this does also cause for concern in some aspects. Potentially they will just place multiple capital ship fleets around different regions of New Eden which just defeats the object really (although this still means they can't just jump straight back home if something goes wrong). The other issue is, it really will just be Ishtars online...

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

It also risks making things horribly boring because you will only be able to mess with people near you, which gets old pretty quick. Moving further afield to entertain yourself and keep thing interesting no longer becomes practical. (think about rolling into the same nerds as your static every single day, all day, god how much would that suck).

Not saying all the changes are bad,the death cloning one sucks pretty hard, but its not going to be as glorious as some people are making it out to be.

You'll still be able to fight people the other side of the map. It just means that big groups will have to 'deploy' properly... And use convoys and proper tactics to deploy to get to fights...

I do agree with your other points though...like the cloning.

For war deployments wspace routes will obviously be useless because they collapse after 3 caps. But for the individual nullsec player who wants to move his personal carrier with new ships and supplies, it might be quite attractive. So I hope we'll really see that kind of target more often.

Although it stands to reason that a majority of nullsec people don't even know how to scan a wormhole...

I imagine a lot of guys are currently thinking, well, we'll just sprinkle supers all around the galaxy, basing them with allies or spot-purchasing ships to form fleets; and move their pilots using ordinary jump clones, frigates, wormholes, etc.

This can result in two things: more supers being stolen, and more nullsec tough guys flying around in ships that aren't practically-invincible. Sounds good to me.

After all these years, CCP trolling us, Nullsec people trolling us just like a month ago, and now we get to harvest their tears, and they are already so tasty.
Thanks CCP, maybe the best thing you ever did.

Well CCP are spending some time and giving some attention to Null, It seems that they were expecting some "special" treatment?

Well I think they are somewhat disconcerted with the results, and that they are regretting CCP giving them time and attention now.

I wonder if they will take their own neverending and annoying "just adapt" advice now?

Interesting that this is the first small baby step in fixing null, just wait till the long march! Then there will be a positive tsunami!

After our problems and pain of Hyperion, we shouldn't really gloat when they get the same treatment, but it's so hard not to.LolShocked

Are you seriously comparing the wh changes to the long distance travel changes?

Have some perspective at least.

I'm fairly sure we have perspective. Wormhole changes were an attack on the way we do our "thang". Travel changes are an attack on the way nullbears do their "thang".

I for one fully intend to sit back with a bowl of popcorn and a particularly fine bottle of wine, and watch the ensuing ragefest with delight.

Entitled capital owning /jump freighter pilotingcoalition members crying

Small guys who just wanna bash POSs for content without worrying that a massive cap/supercap blob will descend any second celebrating

As a former Coalition member and capital owning duder, I fully approve these changes.
