I did exploration when the cans would eject from the sites, i loved the new thing thatyou just have to open it but the problem is that theirs just not enough loot in them. Was running a relic in nullsec and the maximum loot per can was around 500k isk. DAFAUQ? again i can see why so little, but how about adding just a little more loot and more spawns for relics and data sites?
People come off work(like me) log on and do some explorations in null/low and cant find a single thing :(

Sometimes they giveth, sometimes they taketh :) Like DEDs, running only one relic is pure lotto and can give everything from riches to nothing, the profit comes from running them long-term so the good and bad gets averaged out.

I understand the need to nerf the loot tables to balance out the loss of that insipid loot spew mechanic, but having three of four containers being empty is just stoopit.

Gate campers are just Carebears with anger issues.

i agree with that, and mostly i explore in nullsec, and 1 relic had all empty, wtf????

And also the remaing jet cans from the relic were the crap like carbon or hydrogen battiers, i always got all the rigs

While the RNG gods will occasionally give you carbon or just plain nothing, they also sometimes shower you with intact armor plates.

Overall I'd say that relic sites are fine. Data sites however are in dire need of a buff of some sort. Maybe via faction BPCs.

I've certainly had this problem in low sec. ATM I'm finding I can almost make as much exploring hi-sec sites as in low-sec. Had a period of only making about 1-2M ISK per data site (I rarely find any relic sites). I've had little luck finding sites at all in null-sec (1 site for about 20 systems scanned). Seems to be strip-mined of sites by the time I get there :-/

Stone I find relics sites by a radius of 10 systems in one circle, normally I risk it all to find relics because I explore in dangerous Nulsec pockets, and it's more risky and pay is amazing, still wish they added more loot to the relics

Perhaps its about going where few other explorers do. I did have more luck in FW space the other night. Maybe lots of people around with guns makes the sites less likely to be taken? I'll try more dangerous null sec where there's lots of pew pew. Should be a laugh anyway :-)

If you're having a problem finding good relic sites in nullsec the most likely issue is that you aren't looking in the right place.

Scroll down to pirate regions look for blood and sansha. Blood has capacitor consoles = 3.5 mil a pop and sansha has intact armor plates = 3.8 mil a pop. Be mindful in sansha space though there will be plenty of gank bombers waiting for you in sites.

Data sites suck right now but sometimes i do them to kill time; they are rarely camped and since so few people do them the prices of data site materials are going up. You can always run into optimized occult augmentations which go for 10 mil a pop :D

Hadn't explored in a long time, finally put together a ship and went wormhole hopping. came out in a cul-de-sac in null with nobody in it and three relic sites. with my skills being sort of crap, I blew up a few of the containers, but still walked away with the cost of the new fit paid for and more.

somebody kept popping up on local but they would disappear again within a few seconds, and d-scan showed no evidence of anyone trying to probe me out, so I'm not sure why they were so relaxed about an unknown entity behind their lines.

it was exhilarating.

I just tried sansha lowsec and found some good relic sites but found blood lowsec to just have poor data sites, for those that would like to know :-)

Started some relic exploration in Null recently and I found sites ranging from 3 - 50m ISK in value. Surprisingly the most effective are the Remains, with more cans per site, faster to hack and more average value than the Ruins. I had 2 Ruins out of 8 giving me garbage only, and I blew up 3 due to virus suppressor hordes, the rest was decent but not better than Remains. I got the impression that the loot does not depend on the difficulty of the can ... anyone else experience that? What are your numbers?

When I scan stuff down in null sec, I find that I get more relic than data sites.

Relic are the more profitable, with the most I've ever had was 60 million from just two cans, 45million from one can.

The data sites do need a buff, so that they give out loot worth running them.

In the cases of people not getting good loot, especially out in Null sec, there are those pilots who 'cherry pick' the cans, leaving the garbage and taking the good stuff.

Use a cargo scanner and then just fail the can twice on purpose when there is nothing worth taking.

This lets new sigs spawn in that system much sooner.

Nope; you can tell on the overview which cans have already been looted, and unopened cans frequently have nothing in them now. It's just high variance though. The 30 mil+ drops in certain regions more than make up for it.
