Launcher Freezing

So every time I boot up my launcher...whether it is from my desktop or straight from the .exe it still won't work. Sometime it starts to download but always it freezes a few moments later. I have tried reinstalling (3 times) and all the other jazz out there but nothing is working. I have even contacted support but they don't seem to eager to get back to me.

I need to fix this soon...my skill queue is about up.

I run the game from Steam if that matters.

Same problem here. Started repair.exe but doesn't help. Still crashing after running the launcher(before login).

edit: running eve directly (CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe) works.

Same problem here. A workaround is you can startup Eve, then login from there. You have to run the exefile.exe, and not the launcher exe. Here is the shortcut on my PC. Yours may be different.


"C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe"

same problem. Launcher just freezes randomly either applying the patch or creating it at various different points. Just keeps repeating and stops at a random %. Workaround doesn't work, trying to repair so I can patch now.

same here but sometimes it works. start launcher then i click the X on top right then start it again wait for it to download then hit the X again maybe 2 or 3 times i do both then it will just launch normally but still its a problem not a solution

Delete the Launcher cache. it worked for me.

In CCP\EVE\launcher\cache there is an updater.exe file. I have run the file , it basically deleted everything in cache folder (excpect itself) and lunched Eve Launcher which is working now. No freeze.

my launcher will get stuck at 0.3 percent and sit there for freaking hours.
