So I've been following the devblog thread regarding jump changes, and I've noticed a few things.

1 - Expected ragers.
2 - Expected "can haz stuffz" replies.
3 - Accolades.
4 - Criticisms.

The above are pretty much present in most devblogs, if not all.

But this particular case is special, because CCP is trying to implement a paradigm shift in the way 0.0 is viewed, and how it works. Most people who are raging right now are doing so because they are still operating under the current 0.0 paradigm of needing to go dozens of lightyears to get to the fights. I can understand this - under the old system, it would be a huge detriment to that playstyle.

But I think CCP is trying to make a new paradigm for 0.0. This is all well and good, but they haven't really done a good job of communicating it.

The point is this: CCP, you need to present in a clear format what you want from 0.0 in the next few months. There are scattered videos and devblogs telling us that stuff will happen, but nothing that puts it all together, makes it understandable. We have vague ideas of "occupancy sov" and "NPC stations scattered throughout", and a less-vague but rather terrifying (for some) announcement about jump ranges. You need to paint a picture, carve a sculpture, weave a tapestry describing how those pieces fit together.

You need to tell us where this ship is headed, because right now we're in a heavy bank of fog and people are worried there's a giant cliff that we're about to ram into. You may have the charts and navigational data, but sharing those with the passengers is a great way to relieve tension and confusion, and maybe some of us can give some extra navigational advice.

So really - tell us where we are, where we're going, and how it will work when we get there.

1. Expect this to be locked for being redundant because there is already a thread going for this.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

TMdotC is not a CCP product, but you seem to be thinking those random rants that appear there are CCP policy.

Or did I miss the dev blog on " We have vague ideas of "occupancy sov" and "NPC stations scattered throughout".

The "vague ideas of 'occupancy sov'" are in part two of the "big nullsec" plan in the devblog about the jump changes.

But yeah, I couldn't find any bits on the NPC stations, so you got me there.

17. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.

As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.

Thread locked. The jump travel changes feedback thread is over here.
