BARCRAFT ...

I would love to open un a pub with the concept ... I find amazingly refreshing.

Wonder if the concept is a franchise or just a guy/group that has the concept wrapped up in an idea easy to deploy?

More power to you. Video games are like sports in this regard with me, though, in that I'd rather be doing it than watching it.

I can't STAND watching other people play games...

Well I think that more than being there standing watching others, its more about being with friends in a pub drinking while you see video games.

The concept of watching others playing video games without alcohol and unable to do anything is pretty lame , so I agree with you on that, hence the concept of BarCraft, which I find hilarious, they could be playing PACMAN for all I care as long as I could swig some single malts in the process amongst friends Big smile

nice, love the concept. although it's not terribly entertaining to watch other people play video games, its better than watching sports, imo. also, would be interesting to see how the pro's play certain games, Starcraft being one. maybe different games on different screens?

i imagine EVE alliance tourney would be cool to watch but regular game play might be a tad dull. not to mention, most players i imagine wouldn't want to advertise their in-game activities to a bunch of strangers without being able to edit some private details.

Kind of like the old concept of pool, darts and brews, no? Looks just as fun.

I watched some GSL last year, thinking 'oh boy, video games on TV. wheee.....'

It was...oddly engaging. Good commentators make or break it.
