CCP wont be happy until its only GM's playing,keep improving yourselves out of a job guys!!

way to go, wont be happy till your down to 10 players,but on a plus side of that,at least the servers will cope with the load

i suggest we all go find another game to play now !!

There's no specific thread about the steaming pile of Devblog just dropped, so here I am.

Did someone totally lose their head with the changes to Jump drives?

Open up your favorite mapping service, and set JDC to 1 (which is STILL more than maximum range with this change). Now look at traveling anywhere that isn't borderlands null sec. Let's go to Catch from Amarr, shall we?

It's impossible to maintain any kind of logistics for an invasion or even maintenance with the change. You can't get to (for example) HED-GP without jumping into someone else's sovereign space, and with the jump cool down on top of the range reduction, you will see deep nullsec regions stagnate due to the inability to travel there in any reasonable way.

I'm kind of baffled with this change, announced as is. What I'm wondering is if Jump Drives should have a range variance for different ships instead of a blanket 5 AU range...

implement 1 of the above...ok...(apart from jump range nerf).....but all 3??!!!!! have you devs just shat your brains?!!!

My non-sov-holding entity stupid idea on Null Sov (since everyone seems to be throwing **** at the wall to see what sticks):

People must actively sustain an activity to maintain sov.

POSes that are fueled will make your sov index go up

ratting will make your sov index go up

mining will make your sov index go up

the more activity, the more your sov index will be.

What should the sov index affect?

maybe something like a TCU where the more activity would add hp, resists or make the reinforcement timer longer.... not sure.

to keep sov under one activity though is not enough. You have to do something other than just sit in the system. I hate the massive coalitions as much as anyone, but you can't blame the meta game for sov's current state. humans gonna human.

Not that I know anything about SOV....

Just throwing my 2 worthless pennies into this worthless pond of ****.

Current Null Sec Isk Making Opportunities:

We also have no economic reason to enlist into Faction Warfare, as our home region of Tenal has enough opportunities for our members to generate income.

Another nulll sec group with plenty of null sec income.
Razor Alliance: 2792 players, 71 systems = 40 players per system.

The core business of RAZOR Alliance is PvP combat and being a sovereignty holding alliance in nullsec...,
Razor Alliance Killboard shows approximately 200 billion isk lost per month
200 billion/month / 50 million isk/hour/member / 2792 members = 1.43 hours / month ratting in Tenal.

Attaining Moderate Wealth
Veteran players uses alts to collect isk. Players like the author use alts to make isk to fund their pvp habits. Null sec doesn't need more specific wealth so that their alts can farm with impunity at higher rate of return than alts farming elsewhere in game.

I feel sorry for those like brave newbies trying to get their new guys into capitals, people like PL already have trillions behind them and the infrastructure already there.
The nurf doesn't really hurt the big guy, tho' it pisses them off, but how are the little/new alliance ever plan on catching up ?

Jump fuel costs already through the roof, now on top of reduced range and fatigue timers ? (Its already too easy to catch a lone nub in a lone capital with afew minute cap time, let alone the poor sod sat there for 23 minutes??!

If you want to 'fix' Null Sec, it starts with the individual's income, not the alliance. Over the years there's been a gradual shift away from the individual player to the alliance. Eve used to be about risk vs. reward but where's the risk when Incursions in Empire generate far superior ISK per hour than Anomilies do in 0.0? When the whole of high sec is free to access missions and incursions in, as opposed to the limited space most null sec alliances have, how can null sec rewards compete?

Whilst there should never be a necessity to live in null sec and there should always be profitable situations in Empire for the canny businessman, by and large null sec should have the best ISK per hour generation of anywhere. With increased ISK per hour generation comes increased small roaming content. Take what you learned from the low sec buff and apply it to null sec in a multiplied manner. In short, if you want people to live in null, you need to put the rewards back in to the risks.

Yeah I know it's amazing you guys can charge rent for those systems.

Also, if we're using that reasoning for empty systems then CCP should increase the value of all NPC Null Sec systems in Syndicate and Outer Ring since nobody lives there either - over half of FW low sec, or almost all non-FW low sec, NPC null sec, and many, many empire sec systems as well. In fact, we should petition CCP to make the Unour Constellation more valuable. It has been DEAD for the entire time I've played this game.

Interesting changes to jump mechanics - few observations:

1) Will capacitor changes be in play to remove the need for capacitor regen heavy jump fits, and by that remove that limitation as you have imposed a new limitation upon jump mechanics?
2) This is easily got around with Wormholes and jump char clones parked up in a Rorqual, which as you say is immune somewhat to this mechanic change. Also Titan can pull a few clones along and use Titans as portable staging area's as they are already used for sub-capital bridging.

Sure few more but point being this shifts 0.0 in favour of rich alliances with capital caches parked up in what has become a small space.


Me, I'd change things up by adding a clump of high-sec at the far outreach of 0.0 and expand 0.0 a little bit more, make it so you can not interceptor around the whole of eve in a few hours kinda larger. Maybe have an explosion and split jita in half with some latent Jove back-story and it gets worm-holed onto the edge of 0.0, certainly mix it up, maybe even split peoples assets in the system, would be epic and most . But been a wish of mine for years and years now...
