They are small assets, so probably they could be hacked through bump maps and postprocessing. Even a relatively complex geometry like that of a Avatar earring prolly could be done with less than 100 polys.

Rings, bracelets, earrings, those are simple as they barely don't move. Necklaces would be another beast, though, as they could interact with the torso and would need to adapt to that.

And the good thing with jewelry worn on the head is that it could be shown with the current creator, as much as all that lame piercings sh*t can be shown nowadays.
