I read last year that CCP was planing to use some data gathered live from their huge aquarium to fed TQ with random data for some mechanics that need some sort of randomization.

CCP, have u already set that up? It would be cool to have a devblog about that.

This post sums up why the 'best' work with DCM inc.

WARP DRIVE makes eve boring

Last I heard they had a live feed camera from the inside of an aquarium at CCP HQ. Sadly they let algae go wild and the camera became unusable or something.

This camera in a fish tank still there CCP? And if so, any plans on letting players tune in and watch CCP from inside the fish tank?

and we wonder why they are broke

just what are the annual maintenance costs of that aquarium?
and who lost their jobs to fish?

yeah, perhaps they actually have to use the fish as a randomizer to justify the expense Roll

in a way it kind of reminds me of the Grateful Dead trying to use the king's chamber in the great pyramid of Giza as an echo box
However, it didn't work

The fish have been downsized to stick-shaped breaded forms.

It is, in fact, true. And when CCP needs to feed the fish or change the water, all your inventions fail and your faction spawns drop no loot.

From now on I'm going to blame the fish when I get a ****** drop.

I don't always post on the forums, but when I do, I post with my main.

Its CCP Sharkbaits home so they infact save money as they only need to pay him with food and the odd sacrifice.

Aquariums are known to calm people and reduce their stress. That's why they're in doctor's and dentist's offices. Trippy, analog, gloopy underwater world probably isn't a bad thing to help take people's minds off of hard digital code and hard deadlines.

Edit: Besides, I think my Thrasher's design was designed after some bottom-feeder. A dead one with just the head and spine left....

They decided that using a fish tank as an oracle was probably smarter than listening to hilmar?

I think they used that random data to model the CONCORD ships. They way they move around is like bored aquarium fish. Actually the whole EVE universe is pretty much like a big aquarium with some creatures moving around. Just need some bubbles coming up out of the stations and you'd have it.
