Hello,

I've been researching information on Exhumers, but I have a couple of questions.

> A Wiki article on here ("Advanced Mining") says that the Skiff has a 60% bonus to Mercoxit mining yield. Is that true? Or is it an older article?

> If I'm in a 'friendly' Null-sec system, surrounded by my corp mates, and beyond that surrounded by alliance members, I more or less have a minimized (not completely removed) chance of being attacked by players. If I have a 'home-base' so to speak, wouldn't it be advantageous to use a Mackinaw for Mercoxit mining?

I've come to understand the Skiff has the strongest tank, which makes it appealing for lower sec mining, but I feel like the Mack would do fine if I was operating in 'friendly territory'.

> Did Exhumers use to have different stats at some point? Were the role bonuses different? I've actually found a couple articles saying the Mack is used for ice, the Skiff for Mercoxit, and the Hulk for everything else.

But from looking at the stats, they don't differ on which ore they can mine, they just differ on ship characteristics (ore hold, shield capacity, speed, etc)

Ultimately, I have my eye on null-sec mining within a friendly region of alliance/corp members.

Thanks for your time!

The best way to get "up to date" information on ships is to "show info" on them via the marketplace, or through right clicking on it in your hangar, etc.

You may be in "friendly territory, but you need to consider whether or not a Mackinaw can tank the belt rats you will encounter. Do your corpmates clear the belts for you when rats show up?
If they are cleaning rats for you, you need to consider tank vs. yield also. A fully yield fit Mackinaw or Hulk is going to have issues with BS size rats, I would think.

Yea I might want to destroy the rats with a combat ship and quickly come back to mine peacefully.

Stats for mining barges and exhumes changed once during the tiericide and then a balancing pass this summer. So what ever guide that still lists the mercoxit bonus Is out of date.

That article dates from pre-Tiericide and is no longer valid.

The skiff also has a greater yield than the Mackinaw while also maintaining enough of an ore bay to make the warps back to station/POS...etc. negligable in comparrison.
