The remedy to that is eating boiled day old duck eggs. Or chicken intestines cooked over the BBQ.

Don't eat from anything that rolls or floats.

Also, want to try a balut and give us a review? I've eaten some weird stuff, but I couldn't manage to try that one. Google some balut images-- if you dare....

How to eat balut properly:
1. Crack the blunt side of the egg and peel the shell until you have a 2 cm hole
2. Pinch the inside skin until it ruptures
3. Drink the liquid inside until it is dry OPTIONAL: put a pinch of salt and d
4. Peel off more shell until only half is left
5. Eat the duck wholesale
6. Eat the yellow part next
7. Don't eat the hard white part (it's the duck's ****)

3. Buy an adult duck and roast it like a normal human being.

There must be some garlic fried rice around somewhere. When that raw garlic hits that sizzling oil and the wave of aroma wafts through the dining room for ten solid seconds..... Conversation stops and everybody does an involuntary dog drool. Philippines garlic rice is some good eating.

Hey guys I'm back in the States!

Stay tuned for an album uploaded to imgur (it's gonna be fairly big. Unfortunately no beaches)

Yeah, Philippines has just too many incredible places to see in even a fairly long trip. Beautiful remote mountains, beautiful remote islands, rain forests, waterfalls, terraced rice paddies, who knows what else. Sadly most of us just see the Manila area.

I did get manage a two-day bus trip into the mountains though. People in that part of the country used to be headhunting PVP roams against rival groups. Was tempted to buy some interesting items (OK, heads) a Japanese anthropologist had collected, but abandoned because he got sick and suddenly had to jet out. Glad I didn't.
