You know you're a bittervet when:

1. You fought with BoB in the Great Wars, you fought against KenZoku in the wars that followed, and you can't really remember which is which anymore.
2. You remember drunken IAC roams with fondness (even if you were only on the receiving end of them).
3. You remember fitting your fleet battleships to handle two of the old AoE Doomsdays.
4. You trained into a Moros because you thought a drone Dread was cool. (And you wish CCP would update the description to reflect the fact that it no longer has a "protean array of point defenses".)
5. You're still bummed because your CovOps V alt has "wasted" skill points in Cruise Missiles.
6. You're still scratching your head as to how CCP could turn the Crow into a fleet 'ceptor and not realize it would be overpowered.
7. You ran Level 3 missions in a missile Ferox because the Drake hadn't been released yet.
8. You remember when all rigs were one size and still have at least one ship with size-mismatched rigs (mine happens to be the Moros mentioned in #2).
9. You remember a time before rigs.
10. You can come up with a list like this in 2 minutes flat.

<--- Bitter just not a vet.

Taking the time to fly into a star to see what happens.
Disappointment when you don't burn up.

It's only water, in a stranger's tear. Looks are deceptive, but distinctions are clear. A foreign body and foreign mind; never welcome in the land of the blind.

If you've ever dropped a bounty on a character before realizing you'd bought that character in the Bazaar ... you just might be a bittervet.

Fought in the great privateer war before the wardec changes.

Needs more bitter.

Needs more vet tbh too. 20 jumps without cargo is just a careless mistake and the rest smacks of living in hisec all your life.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

I'm new but old & rolled a second account. I once forgot my name, email address, & clone, it took so long to Dial up... Wanadoo i so hated you. Years pass, the echo of EVE Dial up chill my spine, my clone in limbo, biomassed or just forgotten, since 2004.
I can remember playing these songs while playing Click me.

Light years pass, once again. The year of 2012, trial of the 14days begin... I was born "Celise Katelo" , Then i vanish in a wormhole after a week of doing /facepalm Real life stuff, till 2014.

Once again i return. I start to gain skill points, 11million skill points... all in the wrong places & duel in Jita in my Pod, fail fits & faction weapons for RP... EvE Bitter, no thanks i prefer Vodka. Vet... no thanks, i have no pets. I would like a Fedo P

EVEBoard ...Just over 60million skill points, each skill was chosen for a reason. I closed my eyes & clicked another skill to train... "BINGO...!!!" ... "This time i got something usefull"

You remember the interface looking like this...
OLD

Waiting for Castor to release so we could get to see the shiny new T2 stuff.

Your ship didn't cloak when you went through a gate, you had a loading screen and gate camps meant you were dead before you loaded.

The only way to land on a gate and insta jump was to make a bookmark 10k past the gate and manually jump to it. (great fun for 50 jump cargo hauls when buying commodities low and selling high was a good way to start making money as a noob)

You remember when everyone saw a the Jove ship gone renegade and thought for sure they were going to become a new race Soon(TM).

You remember Heideron... Rest his soul.

Concord didn't intervene in high sec and warp core stabs didn't have penalties.

Cap power relays didn't have penalties and the best way to fit Amarr battleships was with a XL C5L shield booster. You could dps while tanking all day cap stable and not only fit a full load of tachyons but hit frigates with them.

Finding out how long your cap would last meant unloading on asteroids till you went cap dry while timing it with a stop watch.

CCP still updated lore and released new fiction fairly regularly with links to the new stories on the home page.

when you remember dual mwd setups
when you remember when Ark and Bistot were in highsec
when there were no missions
no tutorial
when there was no AP
when docking was automated and took a long time ..
rats followed you back to the station
when you crashed every 2nd jump
when your ship sometimes turned into an asteroid when you went to warp
when the only ship you or anyone else in your corp was a noob ship - cause no one had played long enough to buy anything as luxurious as a merlin.
when all hauling was done in frigs.
when there was no warp to zero
when you had so many bookmarks... well you just had soooo many bookmarks .. and none of them were SS or bounces or undocks .. they were all for getting from gateX to gateY in long chains.. and were worth their weight in gold.
when the first corp you were in self destructed before the game was even released.
when domis could field 10 drones
when harvesters were common.
when it made more sense to transport 250mm rails then mins to and from null.
when you remember when there were no structures in non-faction space.
when there was no formal in game alliance structure but players created OOG and they still worked .. sorta.. maybe no .. well you had to be there GO CFS! .. sigh..

when you have quit eve and come back more times than you can remember cause even with all its issues EvE is better than any other MMO out there.

thing is i dont think im actually bitter .. maybe once upon a time but now i have moved to a high level of eve player .. accepting everything comes with it with a zen like countenance. I am happily trying new aspects of the game .. or at least new to me. Shockingly i might even try industry again .. for giggles .. no really.

History is the study of change.

When all the names of your characters and restarts over the years start to form a really, REALLY long-winded paragraph.

Also back when there was no "i" in caldari

And some bloodlines were overpowered.

You realise that this game is too outdated to get any revolutionary additions and all we are going to see in the near future is more polishing and tacked on bullshit.

When you can create a timeline in your mind pinpointing exactly "where it all went wrong for EVE", and that timeline stretches back close to 8 years. And you keep trying to convince people of the "overall changes and ideas behind it" but no one sees it.

Yes, yes I am. Thanks for noticing.

... the effort to buy a new ship and imps in Jita is more anoying than losing them.
... you still can't accept that your Falcon alt can't perma-jam from 230 clicks anymore.
... you buy again stuff what does still exist in your 200+ stations in EVE.
... you warp at 15 all the time because older times were better.
... when you complain about Rancer is safe.
... when you think you are a pro but get killed and podded by CODE in hi-sec and you've NOT been in a freighter or hauler.
... when you start to believe that running Anoms is better than PvP.
... when you think that this click-fest of selling 4 bil of Anom loot in Jita sucks instead of beeing happy about 4 bil.
... when you suffer from an EVE-boreout.

It was way better than the City of God: lamesauce extreme...

How about, when you have circumnavigated the very edge of null sec just because you were bored...

or...

Every time you stray back up into hi sec and see miners sitting on the warp in point with freighters, orcas, and afk barges you want to go postal on the lot of them; even when you yourself are a miner. Or is that just normal disgust?
