Fit to Active Ship ---> How many?

This is a simple feature request.

Problem
When fitting multiple copies of the same module to a ship, one must repeatedly drag and drop or right click and select "fit to active ship". It's inefficient and irritating.

Solution
When you drag and drop or click "fit to active ship" on a stack of modules you should get a pop-up asking "how many?".

Caveats
This should be tempered with sensible automations such as:
  • Only 1 Damage control, MWD, AB, MJD, AAR can be online at the same time so they won't produce a pop-up
  • If there is only 1 appropriate slot or hardpoint for the selected module, only 1 will be fitted and no pop-up
  • [*] There should be a "do not show this message again" checkbox

Your feature is already implemented, sort of.

In case you didn't know, you can drag and drop whole fits into an empty ship in one turn, the stuff just has to be either unpacked or just one stack per module you want to fit to the ship.
I can even prove the behavior you describe as problem in real life: you just can't open stacked boxes all at once, you gotta open the one on top first, or place them side by side to open them simultaneously. P

Well on the other hand, I don't see any balance issues here, so if the programmers are bored, they might aswell implement it the way you want.

+1, smashing. I also find it irritating that you can't do this; the fitting process as a whole is a bit cumbersome and not streamlined, this would certainly help.
