Dafuq is wrong with the forums today...all double posts so far.

Hamsters must have moved to Riot Gaming too.

Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Help channel: Help chat - Reloaded

Public roams channels: RvB Ganked / Redemption Road / Spectre Fleet / Bombers bar / The Content Club

I assume Jita will be closed and capped.

I guess the worldwide revolution starts ingame first...

So be it then, if my post gets deleted it will go the same path as our german language channel.. gone and forgotten.

Player channels do not show up anywhere.

What if your language has no help channel? Where do you go?

So many questions on a terribly bad "solution".

I only glanced once or twice into French or German channels. The French channel was not as bad. But the amount of Denglish used in the German channel made my eyes bleed and I never got back.

I'm an avid supporter of languages and dialects and their preservation. Still most of this game is kept in English for a reason and there is no real place for localization beyond individual player channels.

Not playing the English client inhibits communication with the bigger part of the community. Agreed, it's easier to get into the game on a localized client and it lowers the cliff somewhat. But you shouldn't stay with it, after you had to wonder for the first time, what the English term of an ingame object is.

The fact that I join an international community was one of the pros when I decided to play EVE. It's not always easy and there are obstacles on both sides to overcome, especially when it comes to different cultural backgrounds. And sure as hell folks will have to be lenient and patient when I start speaking in English, since I haven't been to an English speaking country in more than 25 years Lol.

But for all I care, CCP can wipe the support of localized channels. All of them.

TLDR: English is the language of choice for communication in New Eden. Deal with it.

Edit: Grr Forums...

Edit2: Grr typos. And I seem to need a new keyboard Cry.

Remove standings and insurance.

I want to bring up something that's probably overlooked.

The only reason why the jita riots worked ...
... was because there was a shitton of people unsubbing.

Because riots don't matter at all ...
... as long as people keep paying anyway.

The usual, generalised thought is:

"hahaha these people can riot all they want, they keep paying anyway.
The more, the better actually. It's great press, because it underlines
the sandbox environment."

Trying to make a company move is pointless, as long as it's wallet stay untouched.

You forget we are NOT talking about localization, that will stay.

It's the people that have the English client, but like to hang out in a chat channel with people that speak the same language (for reason of easy talking or lack of understanding of English text).

This comes from a delay.
I've analysed this a while ago.

When you click send, you get redirected to the forum page.
When there is lag in between you and the forums,
the messages takes longer to get processed and doesn't show up on the forums.

So people tend to post it again ...
... and then the message shows up two times.

There are probably other reasons for double-posts,
but this one is the one I have observed and experienced myself.

My bad. Just replace it with "non English".

Come on people, if it doesnt affect you and your game play... you dont need to comment or take part.

If it doesnt affect you - just ignore it - or even better.. help this community grow even stronger .. instead of weakening it.

It is really that easy.. instead of finding something to bash.. do the right thing and raise your voice.
