This is a thread where we can place bets on which threads are going to get locked, by whom, for what reasons, etc.

I think it would be a fun way to make a little ISK (or lose a little, for that matter) while we hang out here on the forums.

Any aspect of the lock (or lack thereof) can be bet on. You can direct your bet at one or more individuals, or you can simple offer a bet to any takers. You can always choose who to make a bet with. If you don't know a poster or don't trust them to be able to pay a bet they lose, you can leave it open and choose to bet with someone else.

ISK bets only; no real-world stuff. No discussing what should or shouldn't have happened. If ISD is willing to let this fly at all (which I kind of doubt, but I'm hoping for) it's already dangerously close to discussing moderation. So don't do that here. Just place your bets, accept bets, claim your winnings, post when you pay up. Maybe . . . just maybe, they will let us have a little bit of fun here.


An example or two:

lock: [thread name], Ezwal, not amused, max 20 posts, reasons: duplicate, trolling. 100 million ISK, 5 slots.

lock: [thread name], Falcon, with snark, max 50 pages, reason: 50 shades of stupid. 1 billion ISK, 1 slot.

You get the picture. Bet on what you want, don't bet on what you don't. See if people are willing to take the bets. Though I suspect bets in the form of

lock: [some cloaking thread], anyone, duplicate. 20 billion, open slots

aren't going to get a whole lot of attention. Try to have some fun with it. :)



Anyway, just wondering if anyone else thinks this would be a fun game. I always want to do this, but by the time my bets have come and gone, the thread gets locked, and it's hard for anyone to accept the bet or pay up after the fact.

Come on, Vice-Admiral, I know it's thin ice. Let us give it a try and see if we can have a little meta fun here and behave ourselves.

I'll put down 1 billion ISK for one taker that says Ezwal shows up here and says something along the lines of, "This is extremely sketchy, but we're going to watch it closely and allow it for now. No lock . . . yet."

Yeah, that's my space dollars where my internet mouth is. Someone take it.

Naw, this thread wont get Ezwal'd. Since he's the big man now, he will post something semi-clever, and then will probably sick one of the lackies on this thread and lock for lack of content or discussing moderation so he doesn't look like the bad guy.
