Hello OP,

It has come to my attention, that you dislike someone cloaking in one of your systems. I suspect you pay rent, so you may not be against paying people for services.

For a small fee of 500m a week, I will come AFK cloak, the AFK cloaker in your system. Just Evemail me with the details of where you reside, and we can then move forward with the payment, and services.

The pro of a cloaked ship is that can scare the bejasus out of you.

The con is that a cloaked ship can do you no harm.

Just fyi, I'm not always AFK when I'm twerking. I got to work super early this morning because some stuff broke in the middle of the night. So there I am at 5:30 am; no one there but me. I've got my headphones on jamming to some Brahms, banging out some test code to find out what's wrong, just twerkin like there's no tomorrow.

Suddenly, I was not the only one at work anymore.

I have it on good authority from many sources that twerking--even at keyboard is definitely griefing.

CCP needs to act now.

You can't move if someone has multiple alts because it wont matter anyways.


In all honesty it's probably someone just playing eve on another account, and that account you see is another window he peeks into every few minutes to see if you are on dscan or not.

So honestly, not a damn thing you can do about it. So go ahead ignore him and be dead within minutes, or bait him and never see the guy... ever. (also a chance you lose your entire fleet to PL).

Cuz... They ARE harmless. It's even better when the cloaky alt is a different character every 2 hours or so.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

How does someone's possession of alts affect your movement? Anyway, if someone has more accounts than your alliance and their blues have systems, you've got bigger problems.

Like I already said, hes probably just playing eve on another account. Taking a peek at his cloaky every now and then to check d-scan for targets.

All he has to do is be patient, as I am sure he isn't bothered to ignore you until you realize he isn't even there and so he isn't bothering anything and is harmless. Then of course you lose your stuff.

Cloakies just play the game on another account while you rage, then you die when you ignore them. Simple. Move to another system? Also simple, even easier to have another alt cloaked there as well.

Tom Lehrer has some advice for you.
He's in a Stealth Bomber or has a 5s locking delay or can't warp cloaked. Stealth Bombers are made of wet tissue paper. Anything else, you can just warp away.

Boring the person only works if they are sitting there for hours on end, but like I said, another alt on another screen they can check whenever, so you are likely to go mad trying to bore the guy.

Baiting only results in nothing ever happening and instead boring both you and your corp members until people screw off and he finds it opportune to pick someone off, or 30 pl dreads dropped on your face and everything dying.

This is probably the only disadvantage you have, but I'm not sure he would put himself in that spot if he wasn't able to grab you.. Like a large gunned battleship that can't warp away or kill it in time.

I myself just ratted in an algos while in null.

The problem is the afk cloaker "always" wins. Either hes bothered you enough to stop doing things, move, or waste resources for nothing that comes, or you don't and lose something anyways.

Murphies law, anything bad that can happen will happen. This is EVE. It can and most always WILL happen to whoever the victim happens to be.

There IS one way to combat this... Sort of while reading previous posts. The afk cloaker is probably just and NPC alt so you don't know who he is unless you bait a hotdrop and hope those aren't more NPC alts, then camp a cloaky in their system and hope they are actual players in system who like to do things, not just market alts or some sort of alts.

I'm starting to think alts are the problem now... They break everything else, like 40 thrashers with 1 controller.

Pilot 007Jumper, while you think by asking a redundant question about AFK Cloakers, this topic has been over and over again been beaten by a dead horse that by using the search bar you MIGHT get an answer to your question. I for one am a AFK Cloaky and I do NOT ruin anyone else's gameplay. I admit I don't AFK cloak very often but when I do I have a reason for dong so, and nothing is gonna stop me from doing so in the future.

This topic has been discussed beyond it's life time and I wished people would just move on and be done with it, there's nothing or any amount of begging from anyone to CCP to make whatever changes to a mechanic of game play that's been around for so long it's a normal part of game play.

I have read this very topic for so long and the arguments are such it's no longer a valid discussion and no amount of pleading or begging is gonna change it.

You're trying to kill an un-cloaked, 0 speed stealth bomber, and you think you'll lose? Roll

It's a Stealth Bomber. It's made of wet tissue paper and just zeroed its speed for your convenience.

The AFK cloaker only wins what you give him. He's AFK by definition, so your irrational response of stopping all your activity is the only thing that can hurt you.
If he's ATK, then he's not an AFK cloaker (again, by definition).
